Is This My Lip Kit Era All Over Again?

Okay so like I'm reading about this airline drama and Delta and Frontier are like pulling their 2025 outlooks? It's giving me major 'my lip kit is sold out' vibes all over again! Apparently even airline CEOs are stressed because of the economy. Can you even? They're blaming it on like everything from trade wars to fewer Canadian tourists. It's a mess. And honestly if they're freaking out should I be stocking up on canned peaches again? Remind me to ask Kris!

Acting Like Were Going into a Recession

Delta's CEO Ed Bastian is out here saying they're acting like they're going into a recession. "I think everybody is going into a defensive posture." Umm excuse me? Does this mean I can't buy another Birkin bag this month? I'm kidding... mostly. But seriously if the airlines are worried we should all be a little worried right? Like is my private jet even safe? Kidding of course... mostly. And wasn't he saying 2025 was gonna be the BEST financial year? Talk about a plot twist!

Wealthy Leisure Travelers to the Rescue!

So the airlines are banking on rich people to save them naturally. They're hoping we'll all keep splurging on those fancy roomy seats because duh who wants to fly in basic economy? Like as if I'm meant to live an uncomfortable life! Spirit Airlines even quoted that from 'The White Lotus' in an ad. Genius! But even I have my limits. Unless the champagne is flowing freely and the seats recline all the way I'm not sure I can justify paying three times the price.

Lounges and Luxe Planes

Okay but the airlines are trying I'll give them that. They're all about expanding their airport lounges and putting more premium seating on their planes. Air France and Lufthansa have new spacious first class cabins. I need to try these ASAP. But apparently demand is so high that it's holding up deliveries of new planes. This is like when I wanted a custom car built and it took forever. First world problems am I right?

Domestic Drama International Dreams

Apparently domestic trips are struggling especially on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Who even travels on those days anyway? But the airlines are more optimistic about international routes and fancy seats like business class. Delta's president says their premium revenue is growing faster than main cabin. So basically if you're not flying in style you're not helping the economy. Just saying!

Europe Here We Come!

Even with all this drama there's some good news! Apparently there could be CHEAPER flights to Europe this summer. OMG! A travel deal site says this might be the best summer for Europe travel in years. I might have to book a last minute trip. I mean if the stars are aligning who am I to say no? Plus a vacation is basically a tax write off for Kylie Cosmetics... right?
