No Man Left Behind... Except the NCAA

Alright listen up. PayPal the big dog in digital cash just made a move that's gonna shake things up like a grenade in a henhouse. They're cutting a deal with the Big Ten and Big 12 conferences. Why? To get money into the hands of those college athletes. It’s about time somebody threw them a lifeline. For years these players were fighting a war they couldn’t win but now the rules are changing finally. The old guard is gonna hate this but like I always say 'To survive a war you gotta become war.'

House Rules: A New Battleground

This whole shebang comes after that House v. NCAA settlement. A real game changer. Schools can now pay their athletes – up to $20.5 million a year in fact! And the NCAA has to pay $2.8 billion to former players. That’s a lot of greenbacks. This ain’t just about throwing money around; it’s about giving these athletes a fighting chance. They’ve earned it sweating it out on the field giving it their all. And now they get a piece of the action. Maybe now they can finally afford to feed themselves!

PayPal: The Ultimate Weapon of Payment

So how are they gonna do it? Through PayPal exclusively. Starting this summer they're rolling out the big guns. Instant secure payments. None of that waiting around for checks in the mail. It's like giving them a fully loaded M60 when all they had was a rusty knife. Makes you wonder why they didn’t think of this before. PayPal is also looking to be the preferred method to pay tuition at certain schools. These kids can go to the library. What is the library for? Books! READ!

Venmo: The Mobile Infantry

And they aren't stopping there. Venmo PayPal's little brother is joining the party too. They are sponsoring the Big Ten Rivalry Series. Plus they're hooking up with schools to let students use Venmo at bookstores and for tickets concessions and merch. No more excuses. This is about them for them. They owe you nothing.

Big Ten and Big 12: It's a Long Road

We're talking about 34 schools with the Big Ten and Big 12 but for the players it always comes down to surviving and winning. This is a start. There will be casualties always are but if we get them the tools they need to survive they got a chance.

Nothing Is Over! (Except Maybe the Old Way)

This ain't just about money; it's about respect. It's about giving these athletes what they deserve. It’s a sign that things are changing and about time. Now the real battle begins: Making sure this actually helps the players. The war is far from over... but the tides they are a changin'.
