Elon Musk's Republican Popularity Takes a Dive: Is This His Darkest Day?

A Kingdom in Crisis?

Hylians listen up! It seems even in the world of politics things are as volatile as a Cucco in a thunderstorm. Word on the street – or should I say from the latest enchanted scroll from Quinnipiac University – is that Elon Musk's popularity among Republicans has taken a serious tumble. Down down down it goes like a Moblin falling off a cliff! From a respectable 78% in March to a mere 62% now. 'Great Deku Tree' that's quite a drop!

From Hero to… Bokoblin?

Remember when Musk was seen as the hero of the right streamlining the government with his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE)? They thought he was sent by the Golden Goddesses! Apparently even saving Hyrule... I mean America… isn’t enough to stay in everyone’s good graces. He's gone from hero to zero faster than you can say 'Triforce'.

The Trump Tirade: A Social Media Boss Battle

The catalyst? A fiery feud with none other than Donald Trump himself! It seems Musk disapproved of Trump’s spending bill and the two engaged in an all out social media war. 'Well excuuuuuse me Princess!' But seriously folks who knew Twitter could be such a battlefield? Musk admitted he regretted some of his posts saying they 'went too far.' Sounds like someone needs to learn the importance of the Ocarina of Time...rewind rewind!

Democrats? More Like Deku Babas!

The poll also reveals a stark divide. While Republicans still hold a (fading) favorable view only 3% of Democrats feel the same. Ouch! Once seen as an environmental leader appealing to liberal values Musk now finds himself about as popular with Democrats as Ganondorf at a Hyrulean picnic. He should have listened to Navi!

DOGE Days Are Numbered?

Even with the dip Musk's work with DOGE still gets decent marks from Republicans though. Around 80% rated it as 'excellent' or 'good.' Maybe he can still salvage things with a well timed magic spell…or maybe just a really good press release. Still though you would think someone contributing nearly $300 million to help Trump win would be looked at more favorably.

What Does the Future Hold?

So what's next for Elon Musk? Will he regain his Republican glory? Will he apologize for his social media outbursts and will he become more favorable? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure: in the world of politics just like in Hyrule you have to stay on your toes or risk being ambushed by… well in this case public opinion.
