So get this: most of these cuts are hitting office jobs in Sweden. Like 15% of their office based peeps! Håkan Samuelsson (Volvo Cars president and CEO) says it's all about building a stronger Volvo. But like does that mean 'Stronger' by firing people? I'm sure those employees are screaming 'Gimme More' but not in a good way. It's 'Toxic' how the industry is always changing right? Apparently about 1,000 consultants are getting the boot too. And 1,200 employees in Sweden? Ouch! The rest are scattered around the globe. I bet they're all feeling kinda 'Lucky'… NOT! Volvo also pulled its financial guidance for 2025 and 2026. That's like saying you're gonna nail a high note and then chickening out. I feel you Volvo.
