As I told Gordon once 'You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.' Guess some people skip straight to villainy these days.

Netanyahu's 'Peace Through Strength' Ruse

Netanyahu's singing Trump's praises like a demented Robin. 'Peace through strength,' he bleats. Please. I've heard that line from every thug shaking down protection money in Crime Alley. Strength without strategy is just brutality. It’s the kind of thinking that breeds Jokers not justice. "It's not who I am underneath but what I do that defines me." And what they're doing is courting disaster.

The UN's Weak Hand

Guterres is flapping his gums about 'dangerous escalation' and 'catastrophic consequences.' As if the UN has any real teeth. They're like a police force that only writes parking tickets during a bank robbery. 'There is no military solution.' Tell that to the families caught in the crossfire when diplomacy fails. Still he's right about one thing: This is a spiral of chaos and we're all about to get dizzy.

Venezuela and Cuba are predictably screaming about 'U.S. aggression' and 'violations of international law.' Pot calling the kettle black considering their own… shortcomings. Mexico's bleating about 'diplomatic dialogue.' Bless their hearts. In Gotham we call that 'talking tough' before getting your kneecaps broken.

Word on the street (from my very reliable sources) is that South Korea's holding emergency meetings. Probably trying to figure out how to avoid being collateral damage. Smart move. When the big boys start throwing punches everyone else gets a shiner. The world is a powder keg and Trump just lit a match. Some men just want to watch the world burn. And others are foolish enough to give them matches.
