Apparently he didn't get the votes he needed. Figures. Politics. It's always a mess just like dealing with Hutts and their spice mines.

I've faced down Krayt Dragons IG 11s and even Moff Gideon. Trust me navigating galactic politics is easier than navigating a room full of Jawas lookin' for scrap. This Merz fella probably thought he could just waltz in flash some shiny credits and become Chancellor. Wrong. This is the way… to failure apparently.

The news is still comin' in. Seems like even with all the support he could muster this Merz couldn’t convince enough folks to back him. Maybe he needs a good bounty hunter on his side… Nah even I wouldn't touch this mess. Too much paperwork. I have spoken.
