A widespread power outage in Spain, Portugal, and France sparks debate on renewable energy reliability and grid security. This is the way... to chaos, apparently.

This is the Way... to Darkness

I've seen a lot of dark places in my travels across the galaxy from the shadow canyons of Nevarro to the forgotten moons of Endor. But this Iberian Peninsula blackout? This is a new level of primitive. Seems Spain Portugal and a chunk of France went completely dark recently. Like someone hit the off switch on the whole darn planet. And the eggheads are pointing fingers faster than a Jawa trying to scrap a droid. Millions without power? No phone? No internet? Sounds like a Tuesday on some Outer Rim planets but these are civilized worlds supposedly. Din Djarin doesn't hold much with civilization these days. Give me a blaster and a tracking fob any day.

Mandalorian Musings on Mayhem

The suits in charge are squawking about 'investigations' and 'cyberattacks.' Standard procedure. But some folks are blaming renewable energy like wind and solar. Seems these places rely on it a lot. The U.S. Energy Secretary (whoever that is) said hitching your wagon to the weather is a risky business. Well duh. Even a mudhorn knows that. But it's like trusting a Hutt with your life savings. You know it's gonna end badly.

I Have Spoken (and So Have Others)

The bigwigs in Spain say renewable energy wasn't the problem. The EU boss agrees claiming everything was 'normal' at the time. Okay sure. And I'm a foundling who loves paperwork. Truth is always buried deeper than a Krayt Dragon in the Dune Sea. Everyone's covering their backsides as usual. Typical politicians… I've dealt with less shifty Jawas.

Vestas CEO States the Obvious

Some fancy wind turbine salesman named Henrik Andersen is preaching 'statesmanship.' Says Europe needs more energy and a stronger grid. Well no doo doo! You think? It's like telling a Mandalorian to always be prepared these guys are saying obvious things. Next he'll be telling us water is wet. These fancy guys are trying to avoid blame but let’s be honest the power went out! It’s a simple concept that is broken.

This is Getting Complicated… Just Like Imperial Bureaucracy

More suits are chiming in. Some German energy CEO named Christian Bruch is talking about needing to stabilize the grid that it's more than 'just a couple of solar cells and some batteries.' No kidding! I knew it it is like dealing with the Empire this is getting complicated. Sounds like they need some serious engineering not just a fresh coat of paint. If it was easy every Jawa would be doing it.

Cash is King (Especially When the Lights Go Out)

One poor soul a resident of Málaga said she only had 40 euros on her when the lights went out. Couldn't get money from ATMs couldn't pay with cards. Just like on the Outer Rim where credits are worthless and beskar is the only real currency. Reminds you that all the fancy tech in the galaxy is useless when the power is gone. Maybe these folks need to invest in some portable generators... or learn how to haggle with Jawas. This is the way... to realize cash is king!

I bet a cyberattack was involved. Always someone trying to mess things up.

Renewable energy? More like unreliable energy!
