The Canal's Ki is Dwindling!
Hey everyone it's Goku! I heard about something even tougher than Frieza – a trade war! Apparently this 'El Niño' thing and a big drought have already been making the Panama Canal's water levels go down. Now this President Trump guy's trade war is making things even worse! It's like trying to power up to Super Saiyan when you're starving – it just doesn't work!
270 Billion Power Level?!
So this canal is super important kinda like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for global trade. Forty percent of all U.S. container traffic goes through it! That's like $270 billion worth of stuff every year! The U.S. and China use it the most but with these trade problems it's like watching Vegeta and I argue – nobody wins!
Tariffs Charging Up Like a Spirit Bomb!
Trump's been putting HUGE tariffs on Chinese goods like a 145% power boost! That means less stuff is being shipped through the canal. It's like when I overcharge my Kamehameha – it looks cool but it drains all my energy! A supply chain intelligence firm called Project44 reported that there has been a 300% increase in blank sailings from China to the US! It's like the boats are scared to show up!
No Ki = No Canal Power!
The Panama Canal makes money when boats go through it. But if there are fewer boats because of the trade war then the canal's power level (I mean revenue) goes down! This Boris Moreno guy from the Panama Canal Authority said that if the U.S. has problems the canal has problems too. Talk about a chain reaction huh?
A Wonder Under Fire!
Apparently some folks think China is trying to control the canal like King Piccolo trying to take over the world! Trump even said that Panama is charging too much. It's getting pretty dramatic almost like one of our Dragon Ball tournaments! Secretary Marco Rubio and Secretary Pete Hegseth visited with Panamanian government officials recently! Even Federal Maritime Commissioner Louis Sola thinks Panama is inching closer and closer to China and away from the United States! It's like watching a tug of war and right now it's hard to tell who's winning.
Stay Cool Calm and Collected... Like Me Before a Fight!
Ricaurte Vasquez who runs the Panama Canal Authority says they're trying to stay calm. He says China isn't running things and they're open to everyone. But BlackRock an American firm wants to buy some ports near the canal. It's all super complicated like trying to explain the time travel in the Cell Saga! All this talk about China and the Panama Canal is kind of like the rivalry between me and Vegeta. You always have to wonder where the other guy is and what they're up to!
