A Fortune Fit For a Feline!

Madre de Dios! It seems the Chinese battery maker CATL is about to make a splash bigger than my own legendary adventures! Word on the street – or rather from two *very* reliable sources who shall remain nameless like a certain gingerbread man's button gumdrop – is that they're pricing their shares at HK$263 ($33.70) each. And *ay caramba!* they're increasing the size of their Hong Kong listing. We're talking about $4.6 billion amigos! That's enough gold to fill my boots… several times over!

Size Matters... Especially When It Comes To Listings!

Now I've faced down El Gigante danced with Death himself and even tolerated Humpty Dumpty's fragile ego but this? This is a beast of a different feather! LSEG data suggests this will be the largest listing *globally* in 2025. Investors are practically clawing (pun intended) to get a piece of the action with whispers that orders below HK$263 risk getting nada nothing zip! They don't want to miss the golden goose... or in this case the golden battery!

A Discount? Ole!

The price is about a 6% discount to CATL's Shenzhen stock's closing price. A smart move I say! Give the people a taste of that *dulce de leche* make them believe they're getting away with something. It's a discount yes but remember what I always say: "Sometimes the only way to get what you want is to wear them down!".

Cornerstone Investors? Sounds Like a Good Foundation!

More than 20 cornerstone investors subscribed for about $2.6 billion worth of CATL shares. It looks like this venture is a 'Sturdy House'! Investors are 'Hooked like Pinocchio to a lie' that's how strong the demand from sovereign wealth and global long only investors is.

Batteries for Europe: A Mission From God!

About 90% of the proceeds around HK$27.6 billion will be spent on the construction of their planned Hungary factory. Ah Europe! Land of castles croissants and... car batteries? CATL plans to make batteries in Europe for automakers such as BMW Stellantis and Volkswagen. Looks like this venture is a 'Mission From God'!

May 20th: Mark Your Calendars Amigos!

The grand debut! CATL shares are scheduled to start trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on May 20th. So mark your calendars polish your boots and maybe just maybe invest a little something. After all as I always say “When you stare into the face of death and death stares back... you win!" And who knows maybe this investment will be your own little victory!
