It's a Me Mario Reporting for Duty!
Hello everybody! It's a me Mario! I've a traded in my overalls for a reporter's hat today. Seems like things are heating up between the U.S. and Europe! Poland's finance minister Andrzej Domanski says the U.S. is still the big cheese the top mushroom the... well you get the picture! He's saying it's a crucial to find ways to cooperate more especially when it comes to things that go 'boom!' You know like when I eat a fire flower! Wahoo!
Buying Boom Booms from America!
Domanski is a saying Poland really really values the U.S. troops and likes buying American military stuff. 'The U.S. is the strongest ally,' he said. They're thinking it's time to make the eastern side of NATO stronger. 'It's a me protection!' I always say. Maybe they should a invest in some Super Stars! They make you invincible!
Trump's Tariff Tantrums!
Now President Trump he's been a throwing some Koopa shells with those tariffs on European imports. But after a bit of a market meltdown – uh oh! – he put a 90 day pause on some of them. It's like when I a accidentally hit a block and unleash a bunch of baddies! But everyone's trying to a make a deal before the time runs out. It's like the flagpole at the end of a level! Gotta jump on it before the timer goes to zero!
We Need a Deal!
Domanski is a clear: 'We need to have a deal!' No kidding! It's a like needing a key to get to the next level. The U.S. and Europe are big buddies and they need to a find a good solution. The European Commission is a working hard to a make it happen. They only have 80 days so it's a like a speedrun! 'Here we go!'
More Gas and Guns!
So where can they cooperate more? Domanski thinks the EU could a buy more U.S. military equipment and American natural gas. Sounds a like a plan! Poland's already spending a lot on defense almost 5% of their GDP! They're even telling other European countries to a spend more too. 'It's not easy,' he said 'but action is really really needed.' Tell me about it! Try rescuing a princess from a giant turtle dragon on a budget!
Everyone Needs to Power Up!
Poland wants its friends to spend more money on defense! It's like when I a need a Super Mushroom; you gotta power up! Some countries have tough budgets but Domanski thinks they need to try. You know maybe if everyone just jumped and grabbed some coins they'd have enough! Wahoo! It's a me Mario signing off! Remember do the Mario! Swing your arms from side to side!
