Hello everybody! It's a me Mario! I'm a trading in my usual plumbing duties to bring you the hot spicy mushroom flavored news about Bitcoin! It seems like even Bitcoin isn't immune to the shenanigans of this crazy world. It's a me dealing with financial panic? Unbelievable!
Bitcoin Goes Down the Pipe!
So what's a happening? Well Bitcoin that shiny digital coin has taken a bit of a dive going below $79,000! Wahoo! I mean uh oh! It seems like this a President Trump and his tariffs are causing more chaos than a Koopa Troopa convention! It's like they're throwing Bob ombs at the global economy!
Not a So Super After All?
For most of the year Bitcoin was riding high above $80,000 like me after grabbing a Super Star! But now it's a more like me after touching a poisoned mushroom – shrinking and sad. It's down 39% from its all time high! Mama mia! That's a more than the number of times I've had to rescue Princess Peach!
Liquidation Station: Express!
And to add insult to injury something called 'long liquidations' are happening. That means people who bet on Bitcoin going up are now forced to sell like when I accidentally fall into a pit of lava! CoinGlass says there's been over $181 million in Bitcoin liquidations and $188 million for Ether. That's a lot of coins down the drain!
A Global Recession? That's a Not a My Spaghetti!
The big scary thing is that these tariffs are causing fears of a global recession! It's like Bowser is trying to take over the whole world but instead of fire breathing turtles it's a financial doom! All risk is being sold! People are a panicking and the markets are a going crazy. This is a worse than trying to navigate Rainbow Road in Mario Kart!
Game Over... Or Continue?
So what's a next? Well Bitcoin is down 15% this year and unless something amazing happens it's probably going to keep following the stock market down. Looks like for now we just have to keep a jumping and hoping for a Super Mushroom to appear! Let's a go!
