Amazon those guys who bring my new self tanning lotion right to my door are dropping a whopping £40 billion in the UK! SIII! That's more than I spend on hair gel in a lifetime… probably. Apparently the UK government is doing a little happy dance. Prime Minister Keir Starmer is saying it's a sign their growth plan is working. Well good for them! It's always nice to see politicians score a goal even if it's not quite a bicycle kick from outside the box. They've been trying to woo the big tech players and it seems to be paying off... for now. Let's hope it's not all smoke and mirrors. I need a stable economy for my future investments you know? My personal brand is everything!

Amazon's throwing around the word 'jobs' like I throw around step overs. Thousands of new positions they say! In Hull Northampton even at their shiny headquarters in East London. I'm all for it! More jobs mean more people can afford CR7 underwear! It’s a win win situation folks! They’re even redeveloping Bray Film Studios – maybe I can get a cameo in the next James Bond movie. Ronaldo James Ronaldo. Has a certain ring to it no?

AI Data Centers and the Future... SIII!

Last year Amazon committed £8 billion to build data centers for Artificial Intelligence. AI is the future! Maybe one day they'll create a robot version of me that never gets tired and always scores goals. Although let's be honest nobody can truly replicate my talent. But good on them for investing in the future. Someone has to do it and clearly I am doing enough already.

TikTok and Nvidia Join the Party!

It seems Amazon isn't the only one jumping on the UK bandwagon. TikTok is opening a massive office in London and Nvidia is singing its praises. The UK must be doing something right... or maybe they just heard I was thinking of buying a football club there again. Who knows? It's the Ronaldo effect people! I make everything better even economies!

Tax Troubles? Is the UK losing?

But hold on! Not everyone's celebrating. Some tech entrepreneurs are complaining about tax hikes saying the UK isn't as friendly to startups anymore. Ouch! That's like missing an open goal. Finance Minister Rachel Reeves needs to sort it out fast! You can't attract talent if you're scaring them away with taxes. Even I know that and I’m mostly focused on scoring goals and looking good while doing it. So in conclusion Amazon's investment is great... but the UK needs to keep its eye on the ball!
