I've been observing the latest kerfuffle in California and let me tell you it's more perplexing than trying to explain quantum entanglement to my barber. Apparently President Trump has deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles in response to immigration protests. Now I’ve always said 'The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.' But deploying troops? Is that really the best way to solve a problem? It seems to me we are adding more fuel to the fire no? I haven't seen this much commotion since I misplaced my pipe tobacco.

I believe one must stand for what they believe in the right manner! I am no fan of violence but let's not forget 'Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.' Perhaps a cup of chamomile tea and a philosophical discussion are in order instead of... well you know *this*!

Newsom's Quantum Leap of Disapproval

Governor Newsom bless his heart is having none of it. He wants the troops back under his command calling Trump's move 'purposefully inflammatory.' Ah politics! It's like trying to find a unified field theory – endlessly complicated and often leading to headaches. 'The important thing is not to stop questioning,' my friends. Newsom is questioning alright. And rightly so perhaps! He has requested for the troops to be sent back immediately! That must have been one awkward 40 minute conversation with Trump!

And if things weren't already tense enough Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth threatens to unleash the Marines! Good heavens! Are we solving problems or staging a Hollywood action movie? Perhaps someone should remind Mr. Hegseth that 'imagination is more important than knowledge.' Let's use a bit of imagination to find a peaceful solution shall we? Besides you never know when you might need those Marines to fend off an alien invasion. Priorities people!

President Trump fresh from an Ultimate Fighting Championship match (a peculiar choice of venue for a peacemaker no?) praises the National Guard on Truth Social *before* they even arrive. It seems time and space are relative concepts not just in physics but also in presidential pronouncements! Vice President Vance meanwhile labels the protestors 'insurrectionists.' One can only hope that cooler heads prevail and that we can find a solution that doesn't involve escalating tensions to the point of interstellar war. 'Only two things are infinite the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former.' Let us prove me wrong on the latter shall we?
