100 Million Dollars?! Are You Kidding Me?!

Alright Beast fans gather 'round! I heard something that made my jaw drop harder than when Chandler tries to parallel park. Apparently Meta you know Zuck's empire is throwing around $100 MILLION signing bonuses to poach AI talent from OpenAI. ONE HUNDRED MILLION! That's like a thousand houses a million pizzas or enough fidget spinners to fill an entire stadium. Is this real life? I almost choked on my Beast Burger.

OpenAI Said "Nah We Good!"

But here's the kicker: Sam Altman the head honcho at OpenAI said his best people are turning down the money! They're staying put! Loyalty level 100. It's like when I offer Chris a million bucks to eat a Carolina Reaper and he's like 'Nah I'm good Jimmy.' (Okay maybe not *exactly* like that but you get the idea). Meta has reached out to startup Perplexity AI about a possible acquisition but the deal never materialized.

The Tech World Is Losing It's Mind

Meta's tech chief Andrew Bosworth (or 'Boz' as the cool kids call him) said this kind of talent war is "kind of unprecedented." Kind of?! Dude it's bonkers! People are changing companies for literally life changing money and this all because AI is the next big thing. It is like a war for candy but instead of getting cavities you can automate the world! Which would leave me jobless but anyway...!

Meta's Superintelligence Dream Team!

Meta is also throwing cash at anyone and everyone. Alexandr Wang the co founder of Scale AI is jumping ship to Meta to work on something called "superintelligence." Which sounds like a superhero team from a Marvel movie but instead of saving the world they'll be building the world. They are literally building a team of the most intelligent people around to give to the world. Sounds like a competition in my books.

Ilya Sutskever's (kinda) Back in the Game!

Remember Ilya Sutskever? The guy who co founded OpenAI but then peaced out? Meta apparently tried to buy his new startup. Didn't work out but now they're snatching up its CEO and the former GitHub CEO! It's like a tech world soap opera. A lot of people moving places just for a stack of cash the size of Africa.

Is This the Future?!

Bosworth thinks AI will be helping humans "at every step of the way." Which sounds cool but also a little scary. I mean will AI be making my videos soon? Will it be designing the next MrBeast Burger? Will it be giving me more money...? I am ready to spend 14 billion dollars on the future. I'm going to need to do a LOT more videos to be able to beat Meta and be the best!
