A Most Unfortunate Incident
My dear readers it is with a heavy heart that I must report on a rather grim affair. A helicopter a contraption of muggle ingenuity has met a most unfortunate end in the Hudson River not far from the bustling streets of Manhattan. As I always say 'Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!' – sometimes words are simply inadequate to express the gravity of a situation wouldn't you agree? Initial reports suggest alas multiple fatalities. A chilling reminder that even in a world filled with technological marvels danger lurks in unexpected corners.
Pulled from the Depths
According to sources deemed reliable by the muggle news network NBC New York four individuals were rescued from the frigid waters and swiftly transported to a hospital. One can only hope that their condition improves swiftly. One wonders did they at least have a warming charm cast upon them? I shudder to think of the consequences of prolonged exposure to such conditions. It is yet unclear how many souls were aboard the ill fated aircraft. A mystery wrapped in an enigma shrouded in a wet metallic shell.
A Twittering Tumult
The NYPD utilizing a curious device called 'X' (formerly known as Twitter a name far more whimsical in my humble opinion) has alerted the public to expect traffic delays and the presence of emergency vehicles near the West Side Highway and Spring Street. It seems even in times of crisis the muggles are concerned about their commute. Priorities my dears priorities! As I always say it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies but just as much to stand up to our friends.
The Eagle Eyes Descend
The National Transportation Safety Board an organization dedicated to understanding these aerial mishaps has already begun gathering information. The Federal Aviation Administration however remains tight lipped. Perhaps they are waiting for the Sorting Hat to decide who is to blame? One can only speculate. However it may be prudent to allow the muggle investigators to conduct their business using their methods even if they are somewhat peculiar.
A LongRanger's Last Flight?
The helicopter in question appears to be a Bell 206L 4 LongRanger according to a flight tracking site called FlightRadar24. The flight records indicate that this particular LongRanger has been a frequent visitor to the Downtown Manhattan Heliport taking off and landing numerous times in recent days. Sightseeing tours it seems are a common activity. Whether this flight was of the same nature remains to be seen. Curiosity is not a sin after all… but we should be careful with our curiosity. It can lead to dangerous consequences.
Developing Shadows
This alas is a breaking news story a situation unfolding before our very eyes. I urge you to remain vigilant and to seek out reliable sources for further updates. And remember even in the darkest of times one can find happiness if one only remembers to turn on the light. Or perhaps in this case simply stay grounded. Now if you'll excuse me I have a lemon drop calling my name. Farewell and may your days be filled with fewer unfortunate incidents than this one.

We need better safety regulations for these flights.
