Toaster Cars? More Like Turbo Cars!
Hey everyone it's Goku! I just heard about this crazy news from the San Francisco Bay Area. Apparently Amazon’s got this company called Zoox and they're building these… what do you call them? Oh yeah robotaxis! They're like little toaster shaped cars but way cooler! I bet I could outrun one but still pretty neat. They’ve opened a new factory in Hayward California to make a bunch of these things. Sounds like a fun place to train!
From Zero to One Robotaxi a Day!
Right now they're making about one robotaxi a day. One! That's like one Super Saiyan transformation per day – not nearly enough! But they say they're gonna speed things up. They want to make like 10,000 of these things a year! That’s like trying to eat 10,000 bowls of ramen… I'm up for the challenge! Apparently that's about three robotaxis an hour. Kaio what?! That's fast!
Facing the Ride Hailing Competition
So these Zoox folks are trying to catch up to Waymo which is like the Piccolo of the self driving world – always one step ahead. They’re already giving tons of rides. Even Elon Musk's Tesla is jumping into the ring talking about robotaxis in Austin. Sounds like a tournament is brewing and I love a good fight! I wonder if these robotaxis can go Super Saiyan? That would be a sight to see!
Zoox's Secret Sauce: No Steering Wheel?!
What’s really wild is that Zoox isn't using regular cars. They made their own custom rides! They call them "carriage style" vehicles and get this: there’s no steering wheel! It's like driving the Nimbus without the Nimbus! Up to four people can sit facing each other like we're all sharing a big bowl of senzu beans. They’re calling them "high end computers on wheels." I wonder if they can calculate power levels?
Building the Future One Robotaxi at a Time
The factory is HUGE like 3.5 football fields! That's bigger than Capsule Corp! They say it's the first place in the US just for making these special robotaxis. About half the parts come from the US but some come from other places too. They even have robots helping out on the assembly line! Robots building robots... it's like Dr. Gero's worst nightmare! But these ones are friendly I hope.
Road Testing and Rain Showers
After they build these robotaxis they put them through all sorts of tests. They make sure the cameras and sensors work they stress test the engine and then they even give them a shower! Imagine trying to give Cell a shower HA! I bet these robotaxis are tougher than they look. Then they drive them around a test track to make sure they’re ready for the real world. Sounds like they're really serious about making these things safe and ready to roll!

I hope they have cup holders for my energy drinks!
