It's a me Mario and I'm a here to talk about something more complicated than rescuing Princess Peach from Bowser! This time it's all about tariffs and... Apple? Apparently President Trump wants Apple to make their iPhones here in the good ol' USA or they'll have to pay a big 25% tariff! That's a gonna hurt their coin stash! It's almost like Bowser demanding all my gold coins! "Here we go!" into the economics lesson!

No Harm to Apple? That's a The Goal!

According to this Kevin Hassett guy they don't *want* to hurt Apple. It's all part of a big negotiation dance! A little tap here a little jump there hoping to make Apple do what they want! He says everyone is making it seem like the tariffs would be a catastrophe! But is it just a "tiny little tariff"? We'll see! Maybe I need a Super Mushroom to understand this better. "Okey Dokey!"

Make iPhones in the USA! Or Else!

Trump even told Tim Cook himself that he expects those shiny iPhones to be built right here! Not in India not in China nowhere else! Just like how I expect to find my spaghetti and meatballs on the table! I hear if they build them here iPhones could cost as much as $3,500! Mama mia! That's a more expensive than a whole castle! Maybe I should start investing in Apple stock… or maybe not. "It's a too late!"?

Who Pays the Price? It's a Complicated!

Hassett says that Apple might have to eat the tariffs themselves instead of making us the consumers pay more! It's like when I eat all the mushrooms to get bigger – I take the hit not Luigi! Trump even told Walmart to "EAT THE TARIFFS!" earlier this month! That sounds like something Bowser would yell! This is getting serious y'know!"Let's a go!" figure this out.

Apple's Stocks Get a Super Star

Despite all this talk about tariffs Apple's stock went up more than 1%! Maybe people think they can handle it or maybe they just really really like iPhones! It's like when I find a Super Star – no matter what Bowser throws at me I'm a invincible! "Yahoo!" to the stock market!

Where's Apple's Comment? Radio Silence!

CNBC tried to get a comment from Apple but they didn't hear back! Maybe they're too busy counting their coins or maybe they're strategizing how to deal with these tariffs! Either way it's a quiet over there. I hope they're doing alright! If they need help jumping over some financial hurdles I'm a here! "Thank you so much for a playing my game!" ...err reading my report!
