Mamma Mia! A Farewell Feast?

It's a me Mario! I've been hearing some strange things going on over at Uber headquarters. Apparently one of their big shots Pierre Dimitri Gore Coty is taking a warp pipe out of the company after almost 13 years! Can you believe it? Thirteen years! That's longer than it took me to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser a thousand times! I wonder if he found a star and became invincible or if he just finally collected enough coins to retire on his own private Yoshi island. Wahoo!

He's a Moving On Up!

But a wait there's more! Seems like Andrew Macdonald is jumping on the trampoline and bouncing right into the Chief Operating Officer's chair. He's gonna be overseeing everything from the karts (mobility get it?) to the pizzas (Uber Eats of course!) and even those self driving go karts they're working on. That's a lot of responsibility even for a guy who's been at Uber almost as long as Pierre. Let's a hope he doesn't get a blue shell lobbed his way! Boing!

A Head Scratcher Indeed!

And a speaking of trouble it seems like the Federal Trade Commission has been throwing some fireballs at Uber accusing them of some sneaky stuff with their Uber One subscription. The big boss Dara Khosrowshahi called it a "bit of a head scratcher." Mamma mia that sounds like something Bowser would say when I foil his plans! Maybe they need a power up or two to get out of this mess. Or maybe they need me! I'm a pretty good plumber AND problem solver you know. It's a true!

Coin Operated Kingdom?

So what does this all mean? Well the stock market seems to be shrugging it all off but I'm a wondering if this is just the beginning of a bigger shake up. Maybe Pierre found a secret exit to a new level? Or maybe he's just tired of dealing with all those Goombas in the corporate world. Whatever the reason I wish him good luck. And a remember folks: Sometimes you gotta take a leap of faith and see where the warp pipe takes you! It's a me!

The Ride of a Lifetime? Or a Really Bumpy Road?

Pierre Dimitri Gore Coty himself said it was the “ride of a lifetime”. Sounds exciting! But was it more like riding Yoshi through a sunny meadow or dodging those pesky Thwomps in Bowser's castle? We may never know the full story. But one thing's for sure in the world of Uber just like in the Mushroom Kingdom you gotta be ready for anything. Here we go!

So the moral of the story my friends is this: Even the biggest bosses sometimes need to take a break and let someone else grab the controller. Whether it's for good or ill only time will tell if this executive shuffle will level up Uber or send them spiraling down a bottomless pit. Just remember whatever you do always look before you leap!
