Is China About to Score on Quantum?

Hello it's me Cristiano Ronaldo! You know me for my goals my skills and my… well let's just say I'm a winner. Now I'm hearing some worrying things from my friends at Microsoft. This Brad Smith guy is saying the U.S. needs to get serious about quantum computing or China might just overtake them! Imagine that – China winning a tech race! It's like seeing Messi lift more trophies than me... unacceptable! We can't let that happen siiii?

Quantum: The Future is Now (or Soon)

This quantum stuff is supposed to be the next big thing even bigger than my abs they say! Apparently it can crack codes design better AI and even simulate chemistry. Imagine what I could do with that! I could have my own personal AI assistant to perfect my free kicks! Or maybe even finally understand why people don’t always chant my name. The possibilities are endless! But seriously this is important for everyone not just a football superstar.

Show Me the Money! (For Quantum Research)

Brad Smith is right the U.S. needs to invest more in this stuff. Renew the National Quantum Initiative Act expand DARPA programs... I don't know what those things are exactly but they sound expensive! But hey you gotta spend money to make money right? And more importantly spend money to stay ahead of China. It's like they say you need money to buy goals! Wait no that's not right…

We Need Quantum Superstars!

Look even I needed coaching to become the best. You don't just wake up one day and know how to bend it like Beckham... or you know like Ronaldo. The U.S. needs to train more scientists and mathematicians in quantum computing. Fast track immigration for these brainy people Smith says? Sounds good to me! We need all the talent we can get. I welcome all the competition as long as I remain the best! It's called passion my friends!

Black Swan? More Like Black and White: Juve Colors

Apparently some NSA official is worried about a "black swan" event where China builds a quantum computer first and cracks all our codes. That sounds serious! Banks can't keep transactions private secrets on U.S. nuclear weapons systems revealed... It's like a catastrophic own goal! We need to avoid that at all costs. As I always say the only goals we want to see are the ones WE score!

Microsoft's Quantum Play: Major(ana) Move!

Microsoft has this new chip called Majorana with eight qubits. They want a million! A million qubits! That's like having a million fans chanting my name! Okay maybe not quite but it's still impressive. These guys at Google are working on it too all trying to build the ultimate tech weapon. This reminds me of training train hard play hard and the rewards will come SIIIIII!
