The Client Needs His Credits and Chipotle Needs More!
This is the Mando. I have spoken. And I'm here to tell you things are not always as the Jedi Council perceives. Seems Chipotle that purveyor of fine… *ahem*… sustenance has hit a snag. Turns out even the best beskar armor can't protect you from a sales slump. First time since 2020 they tell me. A dark time for burrito lovers across the galaxy. Revenue down same store sales in the gutter. It appears the Force is… *not* strong with their marketing team right now.
Weather Woes and Wallet Worries: A Double Whammy?
They blame the weather. Adverse conditions they say. I've faced worse krayt dragons in Tatooine sandstorms! But also these… 'consumers'… are apparently holding onto their credits tighter than a Jawa with a droid. Economic uncertainty they call it. I've seen more stable governments on Outer Rim planets. So fewer credits for bowls and burritos. This is not the way!
Burrito Season Delayed?! Is Nothing Sacred?
Apparently there’s this thing called 'Burrito Season' which starts around Easter. Easter was late this year which has impacted their projections for growth. I’ve survived years without this ‘Burrito Season’ but according to Chipotle people go crazy for burritos around this time! What a time to be alive!
Tariffs?! Now We're Talking Credits!
Ah but here's where it gets interesting. Tariffs! The White House's love for slapping duties on aluminum and imports is hitting Chipotle's bottom line. Avocado prices are going up! Half their supply comes from outside of Mexico! This is not good. A Mandalorian always respects the price of good weaponry and food. You gotta factor in the cost of doing business even if it involves dealing with… *politicians*.
Innovation and Growth: The Mandalorian Way?
But Chipotle's not giving up. They're talking about new restaurants enhanced marketing and all sorts of… *innovations*. They say they will be opening between 315 and 345 new restaurants by the end of 2025. Sounds like a lot of mouths to feed. They say innovation and culinary excellence are the key. Maybe they should try offering a Mandalorian themed burrito. I hear mudhorn egg is quite the delicacy. This is the way… to more customers!
The Outlook: Positive Transaction Comps by the Second Half of the Year!
They're projecting low single digit growth for the year. Not exactly blaster fire but better than nothing. The CFO guy seems to think the second half of the year will be better. We shall see. I'll keep my helmet on and my disruptor close just in case. This is the way.

Maybe they should just add more guac.
