Tariffs? Bring 'Em On!
Alright folks Michael Jordan here. You know just like I dominated the court some companies are built to dominate even when things get tough. And according to Citi TJX Companies the folks behind Marshalls Home Goods and T.J. Maxx are poised to slam dunk on these new tariffs from President Trump. Some people want to avoid pressure but pressure creates diamonds! It's like when you hear 'And it's good!' You already know you about to get fleeced by the opp.
Discounted Domination
Citi analysts are saying that these tariffs could shake up the retail market and send a wave of quality discounted inventory to off price retailers. Translation? More gear for you and at prices that even I can't argue with. Well maybe I could… I'm still MJ after all. I've always liked my odds but with TJX thriving off other people's struggles it's like watching the Bulls in '96 all over again. 'I'm back.'
Bargain Hunters Assemble!
With prices going up at your regular retailers Citi believes more shoppers will be hitting up the bargain bins. That’s TJX’s sweet spot. Apparel home decor you name it they excel at it. They're 'playing the game' while everyone else is just practicing. It's like when I told the Dream Team 'Relax fellas I got this.' And I always did. Everyone else is too busy playing checkers and not chess meanwhile TJX is on a whole other level!
While Others Crumble TJX Thrives
The analysts at Citi are looking at TJX as a defensive player in the short term but also as a long term growth engine. Seems like they're saying while other retailers are closing up shop TJX is just getting started. They even raised their price target for TJX stock to $140 a share. Not bad eh? I mean I've seen bigger numbers on my endorsement deals but hey it's a start! It's all about being like Mike stay hungry stay foolish!
The Retail Apocalypse? More Like a TJX Party
While retail stocks are taking a beating TJX is bucking the trend. Target and Nike are down Macy's and Kohl's are getting hammered but TJX is up! It's like watching the competition fall apart while you're soaring to the basket. The fact is tough times create opportunities and TJX is clearly capitalizing on those opportunities. They are masters of the game of chess while the rest are playing checkers.
Cramer's Corner: TJX is a Winner!
Even Jim Cramer is on board! He says TJX is the 'principal beneficiary' of the tariffs. Apparently everyone's rushing to get inventory in but then they can't sell it all so they hand it over to TJX. 'That's what I call a winner,' he says. And you know what? I agree. TJX is playing the game to win just like I always did. And remember: Some is never enough!
