Alllllrighty Then! Edible's Gone Green!

Greetings Earthlings! Ace Ventura Pet Detective reporting live from the jungle – or well the slightly less leafy concrete jungle! Seems our friends at Edible Arrangements those purveyors of fruity goodness are branching out. That's right they're not just sticking to cantaloupe and chocolate covered strawberries anymore. They're diving headfirst into the world of hemp with Edibles.com! Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? Because I sure can and it smells like... progress! Legal hemp derived THC progress that is. I'm getting a vision...a vision of fruit baskets and gummies living together...mass hysteria!

From Fruit to... Fungi?! (Not Really But Close!)

So what's the buzz you ask? (Besides the obvious one wink wink.) Edibles.com is launching an online marketplace for hemp goodies like Cann drinks and Wana gummies. Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill it's all perfectly legal (well mostly) as long as the THC content is below 0.3%. Which means you can enjoy a little relaxation without ending up talking to a white bat. "There's a lot of demand for hemp products out there right now but what people are looking for is that safe and trusted place to buy it," says Edible Brands CEO Somia Farid Silber. Well alrighty then! Someone's thinking ahead.

Texas Here We Come! (Hold On To Your Stetsons!)

The website is kicking things off in Texas because everything's bigger in Texas including the… market potential! Florida Georgia and the rest of the Southeast are next. They're even planning on opening physical locations. Seems like Edibles.com is ready to "step in it!" I am getting a vision of locations all over and people enjoy THC edibles ahh beautiful!

Industry Shakedown! (Not Literally We Hope!)

Cann CEO Jake Bullock calls this a "defining moment" for the hemp industry. He claims a "trusted high quality marketplace like Edibles.com has the power to reshape the future of THC products." High praise indeed! But hey if anyone can make fruit and… well other edibles… a match made in heaven (or at least a really chill backyard) it's these guys.

Compliance is Key! (No Monkey Business Allowed!)

Don't worry they're not just throwing caution to the wind. Edibles.com is taking compliance seriously using its existing franchise network for delivery and ensuring everything is above board. “With our franchise network that we have today we can cover 70% of households in the U.S. within an hour,” says Silber. “Extensive” compliance and background checks according to Winstanley. They're even sticking to low dose products around five milligrams of THC per serving. No need to end up wearing a tutu and dancing in the streets... unless that's your thing. Then by all means go for it!

Future Fruitful… Endeavors?!

What's next for Edibles.com? Well they're thinking about making their own edibles so get ready for some potentially mind blowing concoctions! As for an actual collaboration with Edible Arrangements? Eh maybe not just yet. But who knows? Maybe someday we'll see a fruit bouquet with a side of something extra special. Until then this is Ace Ventura signing off! Remember folks do not go WHACKO if you get your THC edibles! Just be responsible be safe and... ALLLLLLRIGHTY THEN!
