BILLION. Dragons' eggs are cheaper I tell you!

Burn Them All... Or Just Their Budgets?

Trump claims this money previously allocated for scientific and engineering research would be better spent on trade schools. Trade schools you say? Is he planning to forge Valyrian steel there? Perhaps train a new generation of blacksmiths to rival Tobho Mott? I find it peculiar this sudden interest in the trades. More likely this is just another power play a game of thrones played with academic institutions as the pawns.

Radical Left Idiots and Bird Brains!?

The reason for this potential reallocation according to Trump himself is that Harvard has hired Democrats whom he so eloquently refers to as "Radical Left idiots and 'bird brains'." Oh the irony! I Daenerys have been called many things but never a 'bird brain'. Though perhaps a dragon brain is something he would understand. Regardless such crude language from a leader is hardly the way to inspire loyalty let alone run a kingdom... or a country.

Harvard understandably is not pleased. They've launched a lawsuit claiming this is an unconstitutional attack on their free speech. You know the freedom to speak your mind without your funds being seized by a petty tyrant. Sounds familiar doesn't it? I Daenerys know a thing or two about fighting for what is rightfully yours. 'When I take what is mine I will do what I want.' I must say it seems Harvard is saying the same with their lawsuit!

The Night is Dark and Full of... Research Grants?

The majority of this money is meant for biomedical research. Biomedical! Not exactly something one learns in a blacksmith's forge. It is as absurd as sending Maester Aemon to fight in the front lines. Trump also tried to stop Harvard from enrolling foreign students. I mean where would Jon Snow be if he had not known of the Wildings beyond the wall? Knowledge is power. This act would have hurt those international students which would have had a devastating impact on the university

The Dragon Has Three Heads But Only One Wallet?

Ultimately this whole affair smacks of a power grab a desperate attempt to bend institutions to Trump's will. 'I will not stop the wheel. I will break the wheel.' And this Trump it seems wishes to create a wheel of his own design. It remains to be seen if his actions will stand. But one thing is certain: the game of thrones continues even in the hallowed halls of academia. Perhaps I should send Drogon to sort things out.
