A Galaxy Far Far Away... From Affordable iPhones?
Well well well... Seems like things are heating up faster than a fresh batch of Jawa scrap metal. Heard the former big boss Trump is talking tariffs with Apple. Apparently he wants those shiny datapads or iPhones as you probably call them built right here in the good ol' U.S. of A. If not? Boom! 25% tariff. This is the way... to much higher prices apparently. Makes a Mandalorian’s bounty hunting look cheap.
This is the Way... to a Trade Showdown!
I’ve heard rumors that the shiny new iPhone 16 Pro already costs around a grand in Republic credits... er dollars. One of those Wall Street fellas reckons a 'Made in USA' version could hit $3,500! That’s like a whole new set of Beskar armor right there. Not something a bounty hunter can just toss into the Razor Crest’s cargo hold. I have spoken.
I Have Spoken... But Does Tim Cook Listen?
Trump is saying he had a 'understanding' with Apple's big cheese Tim Cook about building factories in India but not selling the goods back in the U.S. without paying a tax. Sounds like somebody wasn’t listening during negotiations. Reminds me of trying to get information from a stubborn Ugnaught. You have to know what you want before you approach them to prevent them from going off track. I have spoken.
A Million Credits for Inauguration Day?
Apparently Cook even threw a million credits at Trump's inauguration fund. All that and still facing tariffs? Maybe he should’ve hired a Mandalorian for some *persuasion*. Credits can be exchanged for goods and services after all. And let's be honest a good bit of Beskar and a modified Amban phase pulse blaster can always cut through any red tape.
The Empire... I Mean the Trade War Strikes Back!
Looks like Trump's also eyeballing tariffs on European goods. Seems like the trade wars are back in full swing even after they simmered down for a bit. This whole mess makes me wonder if these fellas have ever tried settling a dispute with a good ol' fashioned blaster duel at dawn. Efficient effective... and usually final. That is the Mandalorian way after all.
This is the Way... To a Weaker Apple?
Apple's already got some issues with sales in China. Now they're boosting trade in deals just to get those old iPhones off the shelves. This whole tariff thing could make matters worse. Makes you wonder if they need to bring in a Mandalorian troubleshooter. I know a guy... This is the way.
