A Galaxy Far Far Away... From New Jersey

I heard a tale from a contact in New Jersey you know the planet with all the diners. Seems a clan of two adults and two younglings the Smiths jumped in their starship and headed straight for the ancient world of Italy. Turns out they weren't the only ones. Other clans from their settlement had the same idea. Seems like everyone's suddenly more interested in Roman ruins than Jersey traffic. 'This is the way,' they seem to be saying... to Rome not Mandalore.

The Great Exodus: Why Americans Are Skipping Town

Turns out Americans are fleeing the U.S. faster than a Jawa on a spice run! Apparently U.S. citizens flying abroad are up 22% since before the Clone Wars... er 2019. Meanwhile the number of foreigners visiting the States is down like a Hutt's speeder after a podrace. Something's not adding up here. This imbalance is causing a major disturbance in the Force... I mean the $1 trillion U.S. travel industry.

Is the Empire... I Mean the U.S. Losing Its Allure?

I overheard some chatter about a 'trade war,' some folks getting locked up and someone wanting to take over the land of the maple leaf lovers. All these issues are not very cash money and don't make the USA look good to the Galaxy. Makes you wonder if the U.S. is about to become the new Tatooine... a place everyone tries to escape but some like me call home.

Credits Speak Louder Than Words: The Economic Impact

Some eggheads at JPMorgan are saying this travel imbalance could knock 0.1% off the gross domestic product. That's like losing a whole crate of Beskar steel! Seems like less tourists means less credits flowing into the U.S. economy. And we all know credits are the lifeblood of any operation legal or otherwise.

Baby Boomers: The Last Jedi of Travel?

Seems the aging population is spending all their credits. According to some Delta Air Lines big wig there's a 'wealth effect' where retirees want to see Europe Australia Japan before they become one with the force like a Jedi.

The Way of the Traveler: Adapting to the New Normal

So what does this all mean? Well for one thing it means I might have to start investing in intergalactic travel agencies. If everyone's leaving the U.S. someone's gotta get them there right? But more seriously the world is changing faster than a tooka on a hot tin roof. We need to be ready to adapt. This is the way. Or at least it's *a* way. I have spoken.

Maybe they should try putting bounties on good tourist spots. That'd get people interested!
