Apparently this Ascend ecosystem revolves around Huawei's own AI chips which are supposed to give Nvidia a run for its money. Nvidia is restricted from selling its advanced products to China. Letting developers tinker with Pangu could be a smart move. Free labor right? This is the Way...to build an army of AI developers.

Now some folks are saying this is all a grand strategy to become an AI juggernaut 'straddling the entire AI hardware and software stack.' Sounds a bit like trying to fit a Sarlacc pit into a Jawa Sandcrawler if you ask me. Look I'm no tech expert but this Huawei maneuver seems like a calculated risk. They're playing the long game trying to outmaneuver their rivals and build a lasting empire. Whether it'll work or not is anyone's guess. But one thing's for sure: they're not going down without a fight. And in this galaxy that's something I can respect. This is the Way...to stay alive.
