Paradise Found? More Like Paradise Maintained!
Greetings humans! Optimus Prime here reporting on a story that proves even paradise has its Energon fueled challenges. I've always believed in freedom and the right of all sentient beings and that includes the right to a well maintained luxury resort apparently! Marc LeBlanc and Laura Robinson two humans who've seen more islands than I've seen Decepticon schemes have spilled the beans on what it's *really* like working in these exotic locales. It’s not all sunshine and energon cocktails folks. 'Til all are one... shift that is!
One Island One Resort...One REALLY Long Stay!
Imagine being stuck on an island. Sounds idyllic right? Well LeBlanc compares it to a summer camp. A summer camp with demanding guests and potential saltwater damage to well *everything*. Robinson points out that even in paradise you've got personality clashes. It's like trying to get Bumblebee to stop playing Earth music – a constant battle! Managing differences in the workplace? It's not unlike brokering peace between Autobots and Decepticons – difficult but necessary for the greater good (and a smooth running resort).
Happy Staff Happy Guests: The Prime Directive of Hospitality
Robinson emphasizes that ensuring the staff is happy is just as important as pleasing the guests. LeBlanc even DJs for them! I can only imagine the Cybertronian rave he throws. But seriously a happy crew makes for a happy resort and a happy resort means happy guests. It’s a simple equation really and it’s important for those who serve to be happy and well looked after. It's what I would do for my own crew!
Forests Trying to Reclaim Themselves?!
Saltwater’s a menace but the Cambodian forest is trying to reclaim the resort. It's like nature itself is a Decepticon constantly trying to take over! High maintenance on the product and service but also conservation efforts that require the upmost attention to detail. Someone has to keep those pesky vines at bay. This job is harder than fighting Megatron on a Tuesday!
Home is Where the Spark Is: Family Matters
Living the island life isn't without its sacrifices. Being far from family is tough. Even Autobots feel that sting when separated from their loved ones. But LeBlanc and Robinson make it work traveling home every year and keeping those familial connections strong. They even adopted two dogs! Every Autobot should have a loyal companion.
Partners in Prime: Working Together Staying Together
Working together as a couple? It’s either a recipe for disaster or a symphony of success. LeBlanc and Robinson have found the latter with separate offices. It's like me and Elita One we both have our roles to play for the overall operation. LeBlanc is the creative visionary Robinson is the organized powerhouse. Together they're unstoppable! 'There's no shortage of places looking for managing couples,' It makes sense and they have each other in the most remote of locations.
