From Center Court to Center Strip: My Kind of Double Fault!
Alright folks! Nole here dropping in not from the baseline but from… well my couch reading about Tripadvisor's top U.S. summer destinations. Apparently you Americans are ditching the 'gluten free dairy free' lifestyle for a little 'what happens in Vegas...' moment. And who am I to judge? After all even a champion needs a break from the green juice and meditation. Though I might trade the poker chips for a few dates and some Manuka honey. Balance you know? As they say 'A champion is defined not by their wins but by how they can recover when they fall.' So if you fall into a buffet in Vegas just get back up and find the nearest tennis court. It's good for the soul!
Florida: More Than Just Theme Parks and Alligators (Maybe)
Florida’s got three cities in the top ten eh? Hilary Fischer Groban from Tripadvisor says it’s the “year long pull towards theme parks.” Year long? Sounds exhausting! But hey who am I to question the allure of Mickey Mouse? Though I suspect the beaches have something to do with it. Give me some sun sand and a decent acai bowl and I’m a happy man. I'm all about connecting with nature! Though if I run into any alligators I'm blaming Jelena! Remember folks 'The mind is everything. What you think you become.' So think positive thoughts about avoiding reptiles. Or maybe just wear really fast shoes.
Las Vegas: Where Hydration is Optional (Just Kidding... Hydrate!)
Vegas at number one? Shocking! Just kidding. I hear what happens there doesn't stay there anymore thanks to online reviews. Everyone's a critic! But seriously Vegas is a classic. Fountains of Bellagio the Sphere... sounds like a recipe for sensory overload. Though I appreciate the proximity to the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam. Nature's a good reminder that there's more to life than bright lights and gambling. But maybe after a set or two I would test my luck.
NYC: Concrete Jungle Where Dreams are Made Of (and Pigeons are Fed)
New York City at number two! Makes sense. You can pack your calendar tighter than my match schedule during Wimbledon. Statue of Liberty Empire State Building Central Park... it's a whirlwind. Plus you can escape to the Hamptons or the Jersey Shore if the city gets too much. I've always been fascinated by the city life; all the chaos and all the people bustling about. Gives me the boost of adrenaline I need before I go to a tournament!
Myrtle Beach? Ocean City? Sounds Like a Doubles Match Waiting to Happen!
Myrtle Beach and Ocean City are also on the list. I’ll admit I haven’t spent much time in either. I have however spent a significant amount of time by the ocean and I have to say that it is absolutely divine. You know the sea is almost as calming as nature... But I'm going to be busy playing tennis. So I'll send you my regards and I will tell you to play tennis instead.
Djokovic's Final Serve: Travel Explore and Maybe Learn to Serve Like Me!
So there you have it folks! America's top summer spots according to Tripadvisor. Whether you're hitting the casinos the beaches or the theme parks remember to hydrate wear sunscreen and maybe practice your tennis serve. After all 'I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I only have to follow my heart and concentrate on what I want to get done.' And what I want is for you to have an amazing summer! Safe travels and see you on the court... or maybe in Vegas?
