Wait What's Unemployment Again?

Alright team MrBeast here and today we're not giving away Lamborghinis... we *might* be giving away jobs! I saw this crazy article about unemployment claims going up. Apparently fewer people are getting those sweet sweet paychecks. Initial claims jumped to 241,000 which is like a LOT more than the experts thought. It's like when Chandler thought he could beat me in a thumb war... he was SO wrong. Remember that guys?

New York New York... My Jobless Town?

So apparently New York is a big part of this problem. Claims MORE THAN DOUBLED there! Is everyone suddenly deciding to become a pizza chef? Or maybe they are waiting for that new MrBeast Burger restaurant I’ve been planning.. I will need a lot of help and staff! One expert is blaming it on spring break which is kinda sus. But seriously New York you okay? Need me to buy everyone a mansion to cheer them up? I may consider it!

Uh Oh GDP is Doing the Opposite of Growing

And the economy is shrinking. The GDP went down for the first time in three years! That is even worse than when I lost a challenge to Chandler! Apparently it's all Trump's fault which is… surprising. I don’t know I’m just a guy who gives away money and makes videos. What do I know about politics? All I know is that if things keep going this way I might have to start giving away survival kits instead of cold hard cash! I hope not because I have a lot of challenges to do!

Don't Panic! (Yet)

Okay okay let's not freak out just yet. The article says the long term trend is still like okay ish. Maybe this is just a blip. Like that time I tried to speak fluent Japanese and completely failed. We just gotta keep an eye on things. And maybe send some positive vibes to the economy. You know like those vibes I send before every crazy stunt? "Please don't let me get eaten by a shark!"

So what does this mean for you my beautiful subscribers? Well hopefully nothing. But if things get really bad I'm thinking of starting a new YouTube series: 'Giving Away JOBS!' I mean it’s not as flashy as giving away a private island but hey a job is a job! Plus think of the content possibilities! Employee challenges! 'Last to get fired wins $100,000!' I will be a benevolent employer (to a certain extent)! Who wouldn't love to work for MrBeast? Besides Chandler of course. He secretly hates me.
