What in the WORLD is Going on Here?!

Okay Beast Crew listen up! We've got a situation on our hands and it's not a good one. Apparently measles is making a HUGE comeback. Like bigger than my appetite after filming a challenge involving 10,000 pizzas. Remember that one? Good times but this measles thing? Not good times. A second child an unvaccinated kiddo in Texas has tragically died from measles complications. That's THREE measles related deaths in the U.S. since January! This is SERIOUS.

Texas IS the Problem

So basically Texas is kinda ground zero for this whole measles resurgence. They've had a massive spike in cases and hospitalizations. Like my subscriber count spike after giving away a private island (almost!). Other states like New Mexico Kansas Ohio and Oklahoma are also seeing outbreaks. Health experts are worried this could go on for a YEAR! A YEAR GUYS! That's like 52 weekends I could be giving away cars!

Blame Game: The Undervaccinated Community

The virus is spreading in undervaccinated communities. That's the kicker. It is so easy to protect yourselves with the correct vaccines. This whole situation could have been avoided if everyone was vaccinated! Remember that time I gave 1,000 people glasses and cured their blindness? Vaccines are kind of like that but for measles! Get your shot people!

By the Numbers: It's Not Looking Good

Texas alone has nearly 500 cases across 19 counties! New Mexico has over 50 cases linked to the Texas outbreak. Kansas Oklahoma Ohio – they're all seeing cases too. It's like a global challenge but instead of winning money you get…measles. Not ideal. The CDC said 607 total in 2025 we are on a fast track to surpassing 2019 when there was over 1,200 cases!

MMR: Your New Best Friend!

The BEST way to avoid this whole mess is to get the MMR vaccine! It's like the ultimate shield against measles mumps and rubella. Kids should get their first shot around 1 year old and a booster between 4 and 6. Adults talk to your doctor about whether you need a booster too. It's better to be safe than sorry folks! I'd rather be safe in my Lamborghini than sorry with measles! Just sayin'.

Knowledge is Power! (and so are Vaccines)

Measles starts with a high fever runny nose cough and red watery eyes. Then comes the rash. It can lead to serious complications. While there's no cure doctors can treat the symptoms and prevent complications. So get vaccinated! Spread the word! Let's beat this thing! And hey maybe if we do I'll give away another island.
