Alright MrBeast here and I've got some potentially HUGE news! It looks like the U.S. and China have actually agreed on something! I know I'm shocked too. It's like finding out Chandler actually LIKES commitment... well almost. Word on the street or you know via an NBC transcript is that after some serious talks in London both sides are saying they've reached a consensus on trade. Consensus?! That's a big word. Like 'I just gave away a private island' big.

Geneva Geneva Wherefore Art Thou Geneva?

Apparently this whole thing hinges on something called the 'Geneva consensus.' Sounds fancy. Like a Swiss watch made of diamonds. Anyway U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says they've got a 'framework' to make this Geneva thingy work especially after that phone call between Trump and Xi. Last week they were basically giving each other the side eye across the ocean accusing each other of breaking the agreement. Classic 'he said she said,' but with way more economic implications.

90 Days? Let's Make it 90 Years!

Back in May in Switzerland they had a temporary truce – a 90 day pause on tariffs. 90 days? That’s like two YouTube video cycles for me! But hey it’s a start. Lutnick and Jamieson Greer are heading back to D.C. to get Trump’s thumbs up. If Xi also approves then it's GO TIME! This is like getting both Chandler and Monica's approval before moving in with them. High stakes people high stakes!

The Rare Earths Rumble!

One of the big sticking points? China's rare earths exports. Apparently they're a 'fundamental part' of this agreement. Lutnick seems pretty confident that this will be resolved. Honestly I hope so. I'm pretty sure my next giveaway involves something made of rare earths. Maybe a solid gold phone or a diamond encrusted scooter or a castle made of candy. The possibilities are endless. But without this agreement that's gonna be tough.

Silent Treatment? Not Cool China!

Here’s where things get a little sus. While Chinese state media was all over the Trump Xi call last week they were radio silent after Lutnick’s comments. Silent! That's worse than finding out your best friend ate the last slice of pizza. The latest report just mentioned the talks continuing after lunch. Lunch?! I'm trying to save the world here and they're talking about lunch. Priorities people priorities!
