Alright alright settle down folks. It's MJ here and I'm not talking about my points per game. I'm talking about this mess at Newark Airport. Another radar outage? Seriously? I've faced tougher defenses than this outdated technology. You know I've always said 'Talent wins games but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.' And right now it looks like the FAA is missing a key player: a functioning radar system. I mean come on fellas!

Stress Leave? I Know a Thing or Two...

I hear some controllers took leave because of stress. Hey I get it. Pressure is part of the game. But when your equipment is older than my last championship ring who can blame them? This reminds me of the time Scottie (Pippen) sat out complaining about a headache when I had the flu. Drama! You got to fight through it but with modern technology you eliminate half the battles.

Dark Screens: Reminds Me of the Pistons' Tactics!

So these controllers are flying blind huh? Dark screens? Sounds like the Detroit Pistons' 'Jordan Rules' back in the day – trying to intimidate me with physicality. But I always found a way to score. We need to get these controllers some upgraded technology. It’s time to stop playing games and invest in their equipment.

Billions? Pocket Change!

I'm reading here that airlines and labor groups are screaming for billions in emergency funding. Billions! To some that's a lot of cheddar. To me? That’s what I find behind the couch. But seriously if we can spend that much on well let's just say 'other things' surely we can find some loose change to ensure planes aren't disappearing off radar screens. Remember folks 'You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.'

Is this the Wizards all Over Again?

Staffing shortages and outdated equipment? This is the Wizards all over again! Remember when I was trying to drag that team kicking and screaming into the playoffs? It was like pushing a boulder uphill! The FAA needs to step up their game get the right people in place and give them the tools they need. Don't tell me the cupboards are bare! They are bare because you are not investing. Pay to play fellas.

Time to Take Flight (Responsibly)!

Look I'm not an air traffic controller but I know a winning formula when I see one. Invest in the right technology support your people and for crying out loud make sure the radar is working! Otherwise next thing you know I'll be showing up at Newark Airport with my own private air traffic control system. And trust me you don't want that. You think I'm competitive on the court? Just imagine me directing air traffic. 'Fly faster! Get outta my way!'
