Uh Oh Did Someone Forget to Optimize Their Shipping Algorithm?

Alright folks let's talk numbers. UPS that company that brings you everything from questionable late night impulse buys to your grandma's fruitcake just reported a slight dip in revenue. Seems like $21.5 billion isn't quite as impressive as last year's $21.7 billion. Now I'm not saying they need to hire a new coding team but maybe they could use a little...*optimization*. You know like how we *optimize* engagement on Facebook? Just a thought.

Macro What Now? Blame it on the Trade Winds!

Apparently these 'trade tensions' are making companies a bit hesitant to spend money. And when businesses don't spend UPS feels it. They're not giving any updates to their full year forecast either which is... concerning? I mean I'm building the metaverse so I'm not *too* worried about the real world economy but I do like getting my new VR headsets delivered promptly. Maybe I should just buy UPS... Nah too many packages not enough pixels.

Domestic Bliss (Sort Of)

Okay a little bright spot: their US domestic segment revenue grew 1.4%. Air cargo is up which I assume means more drones are involved? Cool. And they're making more money per package even if they're shipping fewer of them. Classic example of working harder not smarter! (Just kidding UPS. Mostly.)

My Two Cents (Worth Billions Obviously)

Look uncertainty is the name of the game these days. But the thing about uncertainty is it creates opportunities. As I always say 'The biggest risk is not taking any risk.' And right now I'm taking the risk of building a whole new reality! So while UPS navigates the choppy waters of trade policies I'll be over here figuring out how to deliver virtual packages in the metaverse. Priorities people!

The Metaverse: Where Packages Are Always On Time (Because They're Instant)

Let's be real physical shipping is *so* 2020. In the metaverse your package arrives the second you click 'buy.' No more waiting no more tracking numbers just pure instant gratification. Think of it: virtual packages delivered by virtual drones powered by… well probably still electricity but you get the idea. It's the future and it's going to be *awesome*.

Stay Tuned: The Future is Being Built (and Shipped)

So while UPS figures out this whole trade thing I'll be here doing what I do best: connecting people and building the future. And maybe just maybe I'll throw in a free virtual shipping voucher for every new Meta user. Because who doesn't love free shipping? Even in the metaverse. Onwards and upwards! (Or you know just *onwards* into the metaverse.)

Are you going to start delivering Oculus headsets via drone now?
