Breaking News: Reality Bites Back!

Alright folks Zuck here. You know sometimes I look up from building the metaverse and I see... reality. And apparently even giant yellow diggers aren't immune. Caterpillar yeah the ones who make those machines that look like they could eat a Prius for breakfast just announced a CEO change. Jim Umpleby is stepping down. Sounds like he's traded his hard hat for a slightly less hard... executive chairman hat.

Umpleby's Exit: From Pandemic to... What's Next?

Umpleby steered the ship through some choppy waters navigating the whole pandemic supply chain mess. Remember when you couldn't get toilet paper? Imagine trying to get a whole CAT D11 bulldozer! Anyway the guy's been there for 40 years! That's like four metaverses in internet time. Good on him for surviving. But now he is passing the mantle. Maybe he needs to focus on building his own Avatar who knows!

Enter Creed: The New Sheriff in Town?

Taking over is Joseph Creed. 49 years old. Been with Caterpillar for 28 years. Apparently loyalty still exists outside of a well coded algorithm! My man Joseph is going to be the new CEO. Good luck with that Joseph. Maybe he can invest some time to build Caterpillar into the metaverse just saying!

Trade Wars and Tribulations

The article mentions a 'global trade war and an economic slowdown.' Sounds thrilling! Is this the end of the world? I'm kidding! We here at Meta are ready for anything. We're building the metaverse so you can escape all this! I mean who needs a real world construction job when you can virtually build a virtual building with a virtual bulldozer? Think about it!

Reality Check: Still Developing...

This is a developing story. Which basically means they don't know much else yet. But hey that's news these days right? We'll keep you posted. Or you can just check Facebook. Because why not?

Moving Fast and Breaking Things (Maybe Buildings!)

So Umpleby out Creed in. Caterpillar facing economic headwinds. The world keeps spinning. And I'm over here trying to figure out how to sell digital land to people. It's a wild world people. And remember what I always say: 'Move fast and break things.' Just hopefully not any actual bulldozers. That could get expensive!
