It's-a Me, Mario! Predicting the S&P 500 with Citigroup (and a Little Mushroom Kingdom Magic!)

Wahoo! The Market's Jumpin'!

Mamma mia! What's this I hear? Citigroup they're a sayin' the S&P 500 is gonna go up up UP! They boosted their year end target nearly 9% to 6,300! That's like finding a whole castle full of gold coins! They think the market can rise another 5%. It's a me Mario reporting live from… well not the Mushroom Kingdom this time but still pretty exciting!

Watch Out for Goombas (and Market Volatility)!

Even though the experts are feeling good they're still keepin' an eye out for trouble like Goombas in a dark cave. Citigroup's Scott Chronert says there's gonna be "high policy volatility." Sounds like Bowser is at it again! But he also says the market is solid like a good brick block so maybe we can a smash through any problems!

No Chasing Rainbows (or Rallies)!

Chronert says they're "reticent to chase rallies but more inclined to buy pullbacks." Hmm sounds like he doesn't want to be like Toad chasing after Princess Peach when she's already safe. He wants to wait for the right moment to jump in like me when I see a perfect opportunity to grab a 1 Up Mushroom!

The Whole Gang's On Board!

It's not just Citigroup! Other big names are raising their forecasts too! Lori Calvasina of RBC Binky Chadha of Deutsche Bank Venu Krishna of Barclays and Dubravko Lakos Bujas of JPMorgan – they're all jumping on the bandwagon! It's a like when me Luigi Peach and Toad team up to take down Bowser! More the merrier!

Tariff Troubles? Not This Time!

Looks like those trade tensions they're a calming down. Even though there might be some posturing like Bowser trying to scare me before a big fight it's not as bad as it used to be. They even raised steel and aluminum tariffs but the market didn't even flinch! Like I always say "Here we go!" We can a handle this!

It's a All About the Long Game!

In the end the experts think investors will "look through shorter term policy noise." They're focusing on the big picture like me trying to rescue Princess Peach! A few Goombas or Koopa Troopas won't stop me! So keep your eye on the prize and remember "Let's a go!" to financial success!
