Not Again World on Fire!

Well here we are again. Seems like the world just can't catch a break can it? Reminds me of the Hunger Games only instead of tributes fighting each other it's politicians and countries going at it. Honestly I'd rather face a pack of mutts than deal with this kind of drama again. Apparently Donald Trump the guy who used to run things in America is sticking his nose into Israel's business. Says the prosecutors are being too hard on their Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Like we don't have enough problems already.

Trump's Got Opinions (Shocker!)

So this Trump guy he's ranting on something called 'Truth Social' – sounds about as trustworthy as Peeta's camouflage skills which is to say not very. He's calling the whole thing 'INSANITY' and says it's messing with Netanyahu's ability to negotiate with Hamas. As if that's going smoothly to begin with! The man is never short of words. It's like he's trying to win his own personal Hunger Games of political commentary.

Show Me the Money (Or Else!)

Here's where it gets interesting – and by 'interesting,' I mean 'infuriating.' Trump's now talking about how America gives Israel 'Billions of Dollar [sic]' – his words not mine – and how they're not going to 'stand for this.' Is he threatening to cut off aid because Netanyahu's having a bad day in court? It's like saying you'll withhold bread from District 12 because I shot down a Gamemaker's hovercraft. Utterly absurd! Does he want to start a new Hunger Games one where countries battle for resources and allies?

Netanyahu's Playing the Game

Of course Netanyahu's lapping it up. He retweeted Trump and even added 'Together we will make the Middle East Great Again!' Seriously? Sounds like a campaign slogan straight out of President Snow's playbook. Remember 'Snow Always Lands On Top'? These guys think they're so clever but all I see is a bunch of peacocks preening for attention while the rest of the world burns.

Hamas Holding Hostages World Held Hostage

Apparently Netanyahu is working on some kind of deal with Hamas and Trump claims a ceasefire is close. Hamas is willing to free the remaining hostages in Gaza but only if they get everything they want. It's like dealing with the Capitol only they wear different costumes and have even worse ideas. Meanwhile all sides have bombed Iran's nuclear facilities. So it feels a lot like the world is about to explode. What else is new.

Honestly this whole situation is a mess. Between the corruption trials the threats of cutting off aid and the ongoing conflict with Hamas it's enough to make anyone want to hide in a cave with Gale and never come out. But hiding isn't an option. We have to pay attention stay informed and hope that someone somewhere can actually bring about some real change. But don't count on it cause as we all know What I need to survive is not Gale's anger not Finnick's charm not Haymitch's planning skills. It's my own. I am going to survive.
