Trump even went to Capitol Hill to talk to these guys try to get 'em on board. Apparently he told one guy 'If you lose because of SALT you were gonna lose anyway.' So the Republican leadership offered a compromise: a $40,000 cap for people earning under $751,600 a year. Seems generous right? But then it drops back down to $30,000 for the poors. That's like givin' Letty a souped up engine then takin' it away after a few races. These blue state Republicans see right through it. They ain't gonna betray their families back home just for a temporary fix.

Unity or Betrayal?

These Republicans from New York New Jersey and California put out a statement saying they want unity but also a 'fair SALT deduction.' They even remind everyone that Trump promised to fix SALT. I try but family comes first and sometimes that means breakin' a promise or two... or maybe bending it real far to breaking point just never breaking it.
