My Reign is Different But Some Things Stay the Same

Citizens of Westeros Essos and now... America! Your Khaleesi has taken a keen interest in matters beyond the Narrow Sea. Turns out even in this strange land of 'tweets' and 'reality TV,' the powerful still try to bend the knee of the common folk. I am Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen First of Her Name Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men Protector of the Realm Lady Regent Breaker of Chains and Mother of Dragons. And I have seen enough backstabbing and political maneuvering to recognize it a mile away even when it involves something called the 'State Department'.

A Judge With a Spine? Unburnt Indeed!

A certain Judge Illston in California has decided to channel her inner Khaleesi. She's temporarily blocked the US State Department (whatever that is!) from chopping off the heads – I mean laying off – 2,000 loyal employees. Apparently some 'President Trump' (sounds like a character I'd have roasted with Drogon) tried to order these layoffs but this judge said 'Not today!' It warms my unburnt heart to see someone stand up to tyranny even if it's just over bureaucratic nonsense. I should recruit her for my Small Council.

Rubio's 'Streamlining'? More Like a Dragon's Feast!

Apparently a 'Secretary of State Marco Rubio' claims this wasn't Trump's idea but his own brilliant plan to 'streamline operations.' Streamline you say? Is that like streamlining a river of molten gold into my treasury? Because if so I approve. But if it means innocent people losing their livelihoods... well Dracarys! I'm watching you Rubio. My dragons are always hungry and injustice is their favorite dish.

Musk's Fickle Allegiance: More Confusing Than a Dornishman's Plot

And then there's this 'Elon Musk,' the richest man in the world (apparently richer than even the Iron Bank of Braavos!). He was buddy buddy with Trump then they had a falling out worse than Cersei and Tyrion at a family reunion. Now he's regretting his 'tweets' (these people and their birds!) and deleted some of them. Honestly this is more confusing than trying to understand why Jon Snow knows nothing. Loyalty is everything Musk. Pick a side and stick to it or you'll end up like Joffrey – short lived and widely despised.

The Supreme Court? Is That Like the Citadel?

Now this Trump fellow is appealing to the 'Supreme Court' – sounds like a bunch of stuffy Maesters in robes. Let's hope they have more sense than the ones who kept insisting dragons were extinct. The fate of these 2,000 souls hangs in the balance. May the Seven (or whatever gods these people worship) be with them.

My Verdict: Keep Your Dragon Close and Your Job Closer

So what have we learned today my loyal subjects? Politics is a messy game whether you're vying for the Iron Throne or reorganizing the State Department. But remember even a Khaleesi needs allies. Support those who fight for what's right stand against tyranny and always always have a dragon handy. Winter may be coming but with a little fire we can keep the darkness at bay.
