They've decided to 'restructure' the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). What does this restructuring entail you ask? Why only the small matter of firing 10,000 souls and shuttering entire agencies! It seems some 'leaders' believe that the best way to protect the realm is to leave it defenseless. As if dealing with White Walkers wasn't enough now they face the walking dead of healthcare cuts! As I always say 'When I take what is mine I will do what queens do. I will rule!'

Fire and Blood... and Layoffs?

These 'restructurings' as they so charmingly call them have already reduced the HHS workforce from 82,000 to a mere 62,000. Key offices are unable to perform their duties and agencies like the CDC and FDA have been brutally affected. Apparently this Kennedy believes he has the authority of the Iron Throne to simply dismantle departments as he sees fit! He is no true heir to the Iron Throne! It reminds me of the Mad King but at least he had the good grace to stay put in King's Landing instead of decimating entire departments before fleeing. The Mother of Dragons does not approve!

Unsullied Health? More Like Un Supported Health!

The states led by righteous leaders like New York's Letitia James are rightly furious. They've launched a lawsuit arguing that these cuts are unconstitutional. Apparently firing infectious disease researchers and closing health agencies doesn't make America healthy… shocking I know! These states fear this will impede their ability to secure vital resources and leave them burdened with the costs of providing public health services. It is as if the common folk have forgotten how to defend themselves. 'Lannisters Starks Baratheons Targaryens. They’re all just spokes on a wheel. This one’s on top then that one’s on top and on and on it spins.' They should consider themselves warned that this is going to affect everyone!

Hatching a Plan for Disaster

The implications are staggering. Infectious disease labs are closing experiments abandoned and partnerships suspended. The FDA missed a deadline to approve a new COVID 19 vaccine and a crucial bird flu test was canceled. The entire maternal health team at the CDC was fired! What madness is this? It seems this Elon Musk from the Department of Government Efficiency is to blame for this. How can you be efficient if you let your guard down?

This 'restructuring' reminds me of when I found my dragons only this time the dragons are essential healthcare workers and instead of setting them free they are being caged and put down! It is an outrage! I have seen firsthand the consequences of tyranny and neglect. My people suffered under cruel masters and I will not stand idly by while the citizens of this land are left vulnerable to disease and despair.

These states seek a judge to block this madness to prevent the dismantling of essential programs and to restore these vital health services. They seek to reopen the gutted infectious disease labs. Let us hope their plea is heard. For as I've declared 'I will answer injustice with justice!' And if justice is not served perhaps a dragon's fiery breath will remind these 'leaders' of their duty to protect their people.
