Another Day Another Headline (and Not About My Goals!)
Alright alright settle down. I know what you’re thinking: 'Ronaldo what do you know about global finance? Shouldn’t you be I don't know scoring goals?' And to that I say: I AM Ronaldo! I know EVERYTHING including when markets are being…how do you say…silly? This whole Israel Iran situation is heating up faster than my pre game stretches and some folks are acting like it's just another Tuesday. Unbelievable!
They're Underestimating The Situation
This Russ Mould guy at AJ Bell gets it. He's saying there is a risk that markets are underpricing "the risk of a major conflagration in the Middle East," especially when it comes to energy. Think about it: No energy no lights no football on TV. No football on TV? That’s a catastrophe bigger than missing a penalty in the World Cup final! And who wants that? Certainly not me.
Peace? More Like a Time Out Before the Next Attack!
This David Roche fellow at Quantum Strategy thinks this whole thing is going to drag on longer than one of my intense training sessions. And Torbjorn Soltvedtp from Verisk Maplecroft is worried about a possible big escalation. Seriously people pay attention! This isn't some friendly match; it's more like a Champions League final but with you know actual rockets. And the energy markets? Well they’re bouncing around like a ball at my feet. You need to be ready for anything.
Energy is King. Period.
Now everyone knows I like energy. You think these abs sculpt themselves? But seriously energy markets are the place to watch. That spike in crude oil after the attacks? It was bigger than my ego after winning the Ballon d'Or. Remember if they start cutting off the Strait of Hormuz it’s game over. Time to load up on those energy assets like Roche says. It's a safe haven and I only invest in the best just like myself always the best!
Calm Before The Storm. Maybe.
Deutsche Bank's Jim Reid thinks this is all just a minor setback like missing a shot during warm ups. He says the market usually bounces back. Maybe he's right maybe he's wrong. But remember what I always say “Your love makes me strong. Your hate makes me unstoppable.” So whether the market goes up or down I will still be the best. Siuuuu!
My Final Verdict (Because You Asked)
Look I’m not saying run for the hills and sell everything. But don't be naive. There's definitely some underpricing happening here. Keep your eye on the ball watch those energy markets and remember: In football as in life you need to be prepared for anything. And when in doubt just remember my motto: “I’m living a dream I never want to wake up from.” Unless of course that dream involves losing money. Then wake me up immediately! SIUUUUUU!
