Alright alright settle down folks! I know what you're thinking: 'CR7 is writing about *makeup*?' Yes even the best player in the world recognizes greatness beyond the football pitch. I heard about Leonard Lauder's passing and well it's a sad day. Ninety two years old! That's…almost as many goals as I've scored almost. In all seriousness it's always a loss when a visionary like him leaves us. He took a small company and turned it into a global powerhouse. Respect. As I say 'Your love makes me strong. Your hate makes me unstoppable.' He clearly had plenty of love from his company and probably a few haters jealous of his success too!

From Aramis to...CR7 Fragrances?

The man launched Aramis Clinique Lab Series…legends all of them. He understood the power of branding the importance of innovation. A bit like my own CR7 line eh? Different field same winning mentality. I always aim for the top whether it's on the field or with my fragrance line. 'I don't have to show anything to anyone. There is nothing to prove'. Lauder obviously felt that way too especially later in his career I'm sure.

Six Decades of Dominance!

Six decades! That’s longer than most of you have been alive! He dedicated his life to Estee Lauder. That kind of commitment deserves applause. It reminds me of my dedication to football. I live and breathe the sport. I'm sure Leonard Lauder lived and breathed Estee Lauder. 'I see football as an art and all players are artists. If you are a top artist the last thing you would do is paint a picture that nobody would want to look at.' Lauder made sure his products were masterpieces that everyone wanted.

The Lauder Legacy: A Lesson in Winning

Estee Lauder his mother started it all. And he along with his family continued the mission. Family is everything! That's something I understand very well. The CR7 brand is built on family values hard work and a relentless pursuit of excellence. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree eh? His legacy will continue to inspire entrepreneurs for generations to come. 'Talent without working hard is nothing.' I bet he instilled that into everyone he worked with.

So raise a glass (of…uh…maybe some CR7 Drive?) to Leonard Lauder. A true titan of industry a visionary and a man who understood the power of a good moisturizer. The world is a little less glamorous today. He will be missed. I hope to meet him in heaven and discuss the best way to win in our fields of work. I’m sure he has great tips to give!
