Cosmic Chaos Averted (For Now)
Okay folks Captain Marvel here. Word on the street (or you know from Earth's news outlets) is that some judge put the kibosh on a plan to shall we say 'optimize' the federal workforce. Apparently someone thought they could just Thanos snap away a bunch of government jobs under the guise of 'efficiency.' I mean even *I* need a support team when I'm battling intergalactic baddies. You can't just go rogue like Ronan the Accuser and expect everything to work out. "Higher. Further. Faster." doesn't mean firing everyone!
Elon Musk: More Than Just Rockets?
So this 'government efficiency' effort had Elon Musk's fingerprints all over it? The guy who wants to colonize Mars? Look I admire ambition as much as the next cosmic superhero but maybe stick to the rockets buddy. Running a country isn't like launching a Tesla into orbit (though sometimes I bet it feels like it). And let's be real if even Nick Fury needs SHIELD then the federal government needs its people. Period.
Congress: The Unsung Heroes (Sometimes)
The judge bless her judicial heart basically told the administration 'Hold up! Congress makes the rules around here!' It's like telling the Kree that you can't just waltz into someone else's galaxy and start blowing things up. There are protocols people! There are laws! Remember kids 'It's not about following orders it's about what's right.'
Executive Order: More Like Executive Overreach
This whole mess started with an executive order which if you ask me sounds a bit too much like 'Execute Order 66' for comfort. Thankfully the courts stepped in to say 'Whoa there buddy. Slow your roll!' You can't just willy nilly reorganize everything like you're rearranging the furniture on the Helicarrier. There's a process!
Bureaucrats: Not Just Paper Pushers
Now I know 'federal bureaucrat' doesn't exactly conjure images of superheroic derring do but these folks do important stuff! They're not just pushing paper (though admittedly there's probably *some* paper pushing involved). They're the unsung heroes of our society they keep the lights on. The administration seems to think they are a 'class with lifetime employment whether there was work for them to do or not.' Clearly the administration never fought an alien invasion.
Supreme Court Showdown?
And now it's heading to the Supreme Court? Great. Just what I need another headache. I mean I'm busy saving the galaxy people! Can't we all just get along? Remember what Talos said? 'In War there are no right answers only better ones.' So let's find a better answer than firing everyone okay? Captain Marvel out!
