E=MC²... or NVDA=Profit?

Greetings fellow thinkers! It is I Albert Einstein back from tinkering with the very fabric of spacetime to weigh in on a topic of utmost importance: Nvidia. Yes that's right the very company whose chips may soon power the robots that clean our homes and perhaps ponder the mysteries of the universe (or at least try to beat me at chess). Morgan Stanley bless their financial hearts believes Nvidia is set to defy gravity or at least the gravitational pull of market volatility. They predict a hefty 41.7% jump in the stock price. Now I've always said 'The only sure way to avoid making mistakes is to have no new ideas.' And investing like physics is all about embracing new ideas... and occasionally making a few spectacular blunders.

Tariffs: The Fourth Dimension of Economic Headaches

Ah tariffs! Those pesky trade barriers that make international relations feel like navigating a Möbius strip. It appears that Nvidia much like a photon evading detection is relatively well shielded from these economic speed bumps. According to analyst Joseph Moore (not related to Gordon I presume?) the impact on Nvidia should be minimal. Near term demand remains robust and the company is already mitigating the effects. It's as if they've discovered a loophole in the space time continuum of trade. As I once said 'I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.' Let's hope we don't regress to stick and stone economics anytime soon.

AI: The Universe's Best Kept Secret... Until Now!

The real magic the true potential lies in Artificial Intelligence. Morgan Stanley is bullish on sustained spending in AI and Nvidia with its supply chain flexibility is poised to thrive. Think of it! Machines that can learn adapt and perhaps even... *gasp*... understand the elegance of a well formulated equation. One must not forget that 'imagination is more important than knowledge'. And AI is nothing if not a testament to human imagination. Though I confess even I'm slightly worried they might start questioning my hair.

Mexico: The Land of Untaxed GPUs!

In a twist worthy of a quantum entanglement experiment Nvidia's products assembled in Mexico remain untaxed under the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA). This my friends creates an 'odd disincentive' to bring assembly back to the United States. It's a bizarre situation like discovering that gravity works differently on Tuesdays. The world of trade is indeed a strange and wondrous place full of surprises that would make even a theoretical physicist scratch his head. So if you're looking for a place to invest Mexico might just be your answer.

Export Controls: The Real Threat?

Interestingly there’s more concern about export controls on multinational customers than tariffs as demand for inference products and Blackwell remains strong Moore noted. It's a bit like trying to control the spread of an idea. You can build walls impose restrictions but ultimately the most potent ideas find a way to propagate. As I always say 'The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil but because of the people who don't do anything about it.' In this case we must keep a keen eye on such controls!

The Bottom Line: To Invest or Not to Invest That is the Question!

So what is the verdict? Should we all rush out and buy Nvidia stock? Well I'm a scientist not a financial advisor. But I'll say this: the universe rewards boldness and Nvidia is certainly making bold moves in the AI space. As for me I'm going back to my calculations. Perhaps I can figure out how to harness the power of AI to finally solve the unified field theory. Or at the very least teach it how to play a decent game of violin. Farewell and remember: 'God does not play dice with the universe'... but the stock market certainly does!

    I bought Nvidia stock last week. Am I a genius or just lucky?

    AI is the future. I'm convinced my toaster is already plotting against me.
