The World Is Not Enough... Coffee!

Moneypenny darling it seems even Starbucks isn't immune to a bit of turbulence. A 4% dip you say? Fifth straight quarter of decline? Perhaps they need a new blend – or maybe a Q Branch gadget to boost sales. 'A martini. Shaken not stirred'. That’s what I needed after this grim news. The analysts were expecting 49 cents per share they manage 41 cents! It seems the only thing they are stirring is trouble...

Solar Flare Up Guidance Gone Dark

First Solar is dimming its lights eh? A 10% plunge after weak guidance. 'Tomorrow Never Dies,' but perhaps their profits will. The analysts predicted $18.14 per share where as First Solar is only predicting a range between $12.50 and $17.50 per share. I suppose solar panels can't protect you from a weak earning report. A shadow has been casted amongst the markets today.

Booking Holdings Beats Expectations For Your Eyes Only!

Booking Holdings narrowly tops estimates; just barely though. 3% shed after gross bookings came in just above the consensus estimate. It seems travel bookings just barely hit expectations. Perhaps a trip to the Bahamas is in order for some fresh air and perspective. They have exceeded expectations so no need to worry here!

Super Micro's Super Plunge

Ah Super Micro Computer the server maker whose shares decided to take a nosedive. Down 16%? That’s steeper than my Aston Martin on a Swiss mountain pass. I should get Q to look into the details here. I'll take the submarine this is a deep dive that needs investigating...

Visa: Licence to Print Money

Visa's exceeded expectations. Up less than 1%? A modest victory but a victory nonetheless. $2.76 per share beating the $2.68 predicted on $9.59 billion in revenue just above the $9.55 billion predicted. Perhaps I should invest. It seems that Visa may have a license to print money! I always carry a Platinum Visa...

Snap Decisions and Uncertainties

Snap's shares plunge 12%. Clearly Bond is not the only one with a License to Kill! Their revenue was better than expected however they did decline to provide guidance. Macroeconmic uncertainties could be a worry. 8 cents per share loss but $1.36 billion in revenue. Looks like there is light in the dark or is it just fool's gold?
