Avengers Assemble... for Arms Deals!

Hey there Carol Danvers here reporting for duty! So word on the intergalactic street is NATO's decided to crank things up a notch. Remember when I told Fury to hold his precious eye shield close? Well NATO just agreed to more than double their defense spending target to 5% of GDP by 2035. That’s right folks from 2% to FIVE. Seems like someone’s been hitting the cosmic buffet a little too hard. And guess who’s gonna be making bank? You guessed it: the good ol' US of A!

Beam Me Up Weapons!

According to European Council President Antonio Costa this move is gonna solve the whole Europe US trade beef. Apparently buying more American weaponry is the magic fix. Who knew? I thought it involved less paperwork and more you know actual superheroes. Costa even said "What we have decided to do is strengthen our position and to assume greater responsibilities in our own defense." It's like they're trying to tell Thanos to back off... from a distance... with lots and lots of missiles.

Make America…Armed Again!

Costa also threw in a little Trump esque flair calling the agreement a “big win” that rebalances the burden sharing on defense. I gotta say it’s pretty hilarious seeing politicians quote each other like they’re trading baseball cards. "And of course if we buy more American that means then the trade relations rebalance," Costa said. Trade rebalancing sounds like something Rocket would try to fix with duct tape and a bad attitude.

Tariff ic News…Maybe!

Now the EU's apparently scrambling to strike a deal with Washington before Trump's July tariff deadline. I can just imagine Fury’s face if he had to negotiate trade deals instead of alien invasions. The White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is saying the deadlines are “not critical.” Right. Because nothing says “relaxed negotiations” like looming tariffs and political brinkmanship. Classic Earth move.

Houston We Have a Trade Deal…Hopefully!

Costa says the European Commission is looking at the White House's trade proposal. “Both parties are very engaged to find a solution and I hope that we will and that we achieve this before the ninth of July,” he mentioned. Let’s hope they figure it out before someone accidentally declares war over import taxes. I've got enough cosmic battles to deal with.

So there you have it folks. More defense spending potential trade deals and enough political jargon to make even a Kree warrior’s head spin.
