ESPN is launching a new streaming service for $29.99 a month, bundled deals available, aiming to hook 'sideline' viewers. But is it better than planting trees? Let's find out!

Hold Up Another Streaming Service?

Alright Beast Crew! So ESPN's dropping a new streaming service just called 'ESPN,' and it's gonna set you back $29.99 a month. First thought? That's a LOT of money! I could buy like a million trees for that... Okay maybe not a million but a good few thousand for sure! They say it's for the '60 million households on the sidelines,' according to ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro. Sounds like a challenge to me! Can we get them OFF the sidelines and planting trees instead?

The Bundle Bonanza

But wait there's more! (Cue dramatic music!). They're bundling it with Disney+ and Hulu which could bring the price down. A bundle with ads will be $35.99/month or $29.99 for the first year if you sign up at launch. So basically you're getting Disney+ and Hulu for 'free' for a year. Sounds like one of my challenges: Subscribe to ESPN or choose Mystery Box #1? I wonder what's in the Mystery Box...

ESPN+ Stays in the Game

Now don't get confused because there's also ESPN+! That's the cheaper version that doesn't have all the big live games. They're keeping that around for the folks who don't wanna go all in. It's like having a mini challenge before the main event! Pitaro wants to upgrade ESPN+ subscribers to the all access service. Smart move! Like when I convince my friends to do increasingly ridiculous stunts for content.

The App ocalypse!

They're also revamping the ESPN app to be the gateway to all this streaming goodness. It's gonna have a personalized 'SportsCenter' and everything. Fancy! Makes me wanna revamp my entire studio! Maybe add a giant ball pit? Or a room filled with rubber chickens? The possibilities are endless!

Worth the Hype? Let's Do a Challenge!

So the big question is: is this new ESPN streaming service worth it? Honestly I don't know. But I think we should do a challenge! Subscribe to ESPN or donate the equivalent amount to a tree planting charity? Let me know in the comments what you think! Maybe if this article get's 100,000 likes I will give 10 people who subscribe to ESPN $1000!

Don't Forget!

Remember guys this is just news! Not a guarantee that ESPN's streaming service will actually make you a better sports fan or that it will bring world peace. But hey maybe it will distract you from your problems for a few hours. And that's something right? Don't forget to subscribe to my channel like this article and tell me what video I should make next! Maybe I'll give away a million dollars or maybe I'll just plant some trees. Who knows!
