Tariffs? GM Fears Nothing!

Let me tell you something about tariffs. Tariffs fear Chuck Norris and so should anyone messing with the American auto industry. GM's about to report its first quarter earnings but Wall Street's got their eyes on the bigger picture: 2025. Trump's tariffs are causing a stir and analysts are shaking in their boots downgrading stocks like they're trying to outrun me in a staring contest. News Flash: No one outruns Chuck Norris. Ever.

Manufacturing Might: Built Ford Tough... But Chuck Norris Stronger

GM hasn't announced any major changes but they're tweaking production like I tweak bad guys – swiftly and effectively. These tariffs are like a swarm of wasps; annoying but a swift roundhouse kick can disperse them. The tariffs are causing headaches but GM's North American production is adapting. GM is like a honey badger GM don't care!

Wall Street Predicts: Buckle Up!

Despite the long term chaos Wall Street expects GM to beat first quarter estimates. Folks are rushing to buy cars before prices potentially skyrocket. I call it the 'Chuck Norris Economic Stimulus Plan'. Numbers are being crunched faster than I can count to potato: $2.74 adjusted earnings per share and $43.05 billion in revenue are the numbers being thrown around. That’s a 0.1% increase in revenue and a 4.6% uptick in adjusted earnings per share. If that doesn't impress you try facing me after I haven't had my morning coffee.

Barra's Game Plan: Mitigating the Mayhem

GM CEO Mary Barra says they can mitigate up to 50% of the tariff impact. That's like saying you can survive 50% of my punches. Ambitious but probably not happening. The current 25% auto tariffs include Canada Mexico and South Korea. GM's 2025 guidance includes net income of $11.2 billion to $12.5 billion. That's a lot of zeros but let's see if they can deliver without my… intervention.

Downgrade? Don't Make Me Laugh

Deutsche Bank UBS Barclays and Bernstein downgraded GM's stock. These are the same folks who thought I couldn't kick a mountain into the ocean. They're wrong. GM's stock is still rated overweight with a price target of $53.91 a share. That target better be ready to defend itself.

This Just In: Never Underestimate Chuck Norris... Or GM

This is developing news and I'll be watching it like a hawk watches... well everything. Remember GM might face challenges but so do mountains in the path of my right foot. Stay tuned and remember: When GM sneezes the auto industry catches a cold. When Chuck Norris sneezes the world holds its breath.

Chuck Norris once test-drove a GM car. It immediately turned into a monster truck.
