Alright alright alright. So I'm hearing whispers see about this whole tariff thing with Trump. Apparently folks are losing their minds buying up everything like they're expecting a damn apocalypse. Austan Goolsbee some fancy pants from the Federal Reserve is saying everyone's stocking up on inventory. Preemptive he calls it. Sounds a lot like trying to secure your future doesn't it? Like cooking up a batch of the blue sky before the DEA comes knocking. You gotta be prepared understand? Like my old partner Jesse always said... wait what did he always say? Oh yeah: 'Yeah science!'

Artificially High? Like My Product Quality!

Goolsbee's worried this buying spree is gonna make the economy look 'artificially high' at first then tank later. Seems to me that's just good marketing. A little flash a little boom and then... well let's just say you gotta know when to fold 'em. Sectors like the auto industry are going nuts stocking up. I get it. Those car parts from China aren't gonna get any cheaper with a 145% tariff slapped on them. That's some serious chili P right there.

Trump's got this 90 day pause on the tariffs but nobody knows what's gonna happen after that. More uncertainty Goolsbee says. Uncertainty is a bitch isn't it? It's like waiting for Hank to finally put two and two together. You know it's coming but you can't stop it. All you can do is try to control the situation the best you can.

Despite all this tariff drama Goolsbee's trying to stay positive. Unemployment's low inflation's coming down. But he doesn't want to go back to the inflation days. Easy for him to say. For some of us those inflation days were the only days we had any control! I mean some people just need to cook that is cook good food for their family. You know?

And get this there is some event at the New York Stock Exchange! Sounds like a good place for panic buying... no wait panic selling.
