Another Alliance? Really?
The Swarm is vast and its tendrils reach far but even I Sarah Kerrigan Queen of Blades find myself scratching my chitinous head at this JetBlue business. They're talking about *another* partnership? After their Spirit Airlines dream got shot down faster than a Battlecruiser facing a swarm of Mutalisks and their American Airlines fling went kaput thanks to some legal nerds? 'My patience is wearing thin,' as I always say. What is it with these Terrans and their inability to play nice in the sandbox?
United: Friend or Fodder?
So JetBlue's eyeing United Airlines. Apparently they need a big brother to keep them from getting squashed by the likes of Delta. United huh? They want back into JFK? 'That sounds like a job for the Dominion,' But maybe this time they will make it work. If United thinks they can just waltz in and start issuing orders they've got another thing coming. JetBlue better not become another infested Terran under United's control.
Omaha and Boise? Seriously?
Apparently this whole thing hinges on letting people earn loyalty points when they fly to Omaha and Boise. Omaha and Boise? 'Can't even imagine!' I bet those places are teeming with Primal Zerg. But hey if it means more bodies...err I mean customers...in the Swarm...err airline...then who am I to judge? Loyalty points? The Zerg have loyalty. It's called fear.
Alaska? Southwest? Delta? Snore...
Alaska's busy with its Hawaiian fling Southwest is playing coy and Delta's acting all high and mighty. Typical Terran posturing. 'Such arrogance,' right? None of them seem too eager to hitch their wagon to JetBlue's struggling star. Smart move or missed opportunity? Only time (and a few strategic Overlords) will tell.
American's Sour Grapes
Speaking of sour grapes American Airlines is so salty that their planes probably taste like the Void. They're suing JetBlue because they couldn't revive their partnership? Sounds like someone couldn't handle a little Spine Crawler rush. 'I can taste your fear' but I can also taste your pettiness American.
The Verdict: Evolution or Extinction?
So will JetBlue find its savior in United or will it become just another forgotten footnote in the history of failed airline alliances? 'The Swarm adapts.' JetBlue needs to learn to adapt and fast or they'll end up like so many drones consumed by the ever evolving landscape of the airline industry. If I were them I'd start building some Spine Crawlers...just in case.
