Amidst visa policy changes, international students are rethinking their US college plans, but the allure of top-tier institutions remains strong, like my love for the ball.

Visa Drama? Sounds Like a Corner Kick!

Che it's your boy Leo here and let me tell you even I'm dribbling through some confusion with this news! Apparently some crazy stuff went down with international student visas in the US like a last minute VAR decision that nobody saw coming. The Department of Homeland Security they gave back the legal status to the students whose visas were revoked almost like they were trying to score a goal on their own net before someone reminded them which side they're on! College experts are cheering but me? I'm just hoping things don't get Messi er. (Get it?)

Trump's Policy Shift: A Red Card for Some?

So apparently this whole situation is making students think twice about whether they even WANT to study in the US. Can you blame them? It's like planning a perfect through ball only to find out the field's suddenly full of potholes! These policy changes are throwing curveballs faster than I can score a hat trick. It's a real '¿Qué mirás bobo?' moment for a lot of these kids. They're probably thinking 'Maybe Canada's looking pretty good right now eh?'

College is Worth It Even If It Costs You An Arm and A Leg!

This Robert Franek guy from The Princeton Review is saying it's all good because it gives clarity to the students. But clarity where? It's like telling a player 'Yeah the goal's there but there might be a defender teleporting in front of you any second!' And these colleges need those international students you know? They pay full tuition which is like the colleges' transfer budget. Without them who's gonna pay for the new stadium upgrades eh?

Uncertainty? More Like a Blind Pass!

This Hafeez Lakhani guy is saying uncertainty is not good for long term planning. No kidding! It's like trying to plan a free kick when the wind's blowing a gale. These students are starting to look at Canada and the UK which is actually smart eh? It's like when I considered playing for Spain: you have to consider all options before the whistle blows.

India and China: The Two Soccer Giants!

Over 1.1 million international students are in the US with India and China leading the charge! Those people love education as much as I love scoring against Brazil! In the 2023 24 academic year there were 7% increase since the previous year! That's like my goal count every season since 2009! I'm not suprised they're flocking to the U.S.

U.S. Still the Dream Like Scoring the Winning Goal in the World Cup!

This Christopher Rim guy gets it. The US is still the dream. Like come on who wouldn't want to study in the US? Despite all the crazy changes people still want to go to Ivy League schools. I mean if I wasn't busy bending free kicks into the net I'd probably be studying rocket science at Harvard. Maybe. But for now I will settle with bringing home the World Cup Title.
